No its not an exageration he didnt even train for Douglas and had been partying the night before. Just like at that version of Tyson and the 1 that faced say Holmes/Thomas, who were similar, Douglas probably doesnt get out of the first 3 against that version

I think tyson finnished more skilled bigger men as a whole than Louis

General forum ****** Abdullah does. He also thinks Louis is slow, similar in style to George Foreman, and has no head or foot movement whatsoever.

I disagree. He went 10 rounds and Tyson already supposedly had some lung and therefore stamina problems. The whole thing is overstated. What I see in the ring is more than enough to know the exaggeration.

You think Douglas is better than Holmes, Thomas and Tucker?

It's painfully obvious a technically sound Tyson didn't show up against Douglas. Just watch the fight. He just stands there....from minute one. It's not like Tyson started off well and Douglas wore him down. Tyson SUCKED right off the bat. Tyson even lost the FIRST ROUND. Something he was able to do as a shot, overweight, shell of his former self against Lennox Lewis.

A peak Tyson would have been doing what he does best--slipping jabs and finding his mark.

Tyson's finishing skills never got him out of jail. Joe's did.

They didn't get him out of significant trouble.

    Joe.

He had his share of sticky situations both inside and outside of his mariages.

Exactly. Louis stays calm and increases pressure with compact combinations. Tyson increases power if he senses someone's hurt, but throws wider to achieve that. Since I favour technical boxing over swarming, I tend to agree with you that Louis is the "better" finisher.

No, I don't think Douglas doesn't get out of the first 3 like you said if it was a version of Tyson like the one against Holmes.

I would say finishing skills and get out of jail skills are completely different.

It's not for me. I see Tyson moves his had. Sure he has an off night and its not the best performance. His performance against Spinks doesn't impress me anymore. He just lunges in with zero respect for Spinks power. He can't with Douglas, as Douglas is just much better. People say the signs were on the wall in the Bruno fight. Just watch a Tyson defense highlight. You'll see plenty of the Bruno fight in it.

Douglas performance gets sadly discredited. It's a shame. Tokyo Douglas beats any version of Mike Tyson. No doubt.
