At 147 not really. What's funny is the *******s criticised floyd when he fought JMM at 147. Now ps whisks doing it
I'd like too, but the fact that the fight is taking place at 147 is the main determining factor why I choose Pac to win this one. Personally, I think Marquez is a better fighter and I think he won atleast one of their two bouts together, but JMM looked so slow and terrible against Floyd at welterweight that I can't get my head to pick him even though my heart roots for him.
don't expect him to win but i expect a competitive fight from jmm. jmm made a couple of mistakes in his fight against floyd that he can avoid against pac. first is he doesn't need to come in heavy and add more weight come fight night. he can weigh in his usual fight weight in lightweight and would not worry that pac would outsize him like what happened in the floyd fight. jmm should retain his speed by doing this. second is he is the aggressor in the floyd fight. against pac, it would not be much of a problem since pac would not have the reach or the height advantage that floyd over him.
Fighting at 147 hardley makes any difference. Pac and JMM were 148 and 145 on fight night against Margarito and Katsidis. I honestly don't understand why people continue to ignore this and push the bull**** notion that JMM will supposedly be ineffective.
The two scenarios are different. Floyd - considering his height, reach, and how long he's been campaigning at 147 - is a division bigger than both Pac and JMM. If he wasn't a division bigger, he wouldn't have had a problem honouring that 144 catchweight he had with JMM.
I really hope he wins as he should have gotten the decision the last 2 fights, but i expect Pac to win by TKO. Also Pac is a good bit smaller than Mayweather so atleast the size difference should not be as overwhelming.
The reason I don't pick Juan for an upset is he never even came close to KO'ing emmanuel even though he was schooling him in the last two fights. He couldn't even knockdown or wobble emmanuel. Stopping emmanuel is the only way for Juan to get the victory. The politics in boxing won't allow a 38 year old guy with only a fraction of emmanuel's PPV following to win a decision. emmanuel has slightly improved ever since their last fight, but Juan has declined from age.
