for 30mil, floyd maybe overpaying cotto here.

why would floyd pay cotto only 10mil less than what he offered pac since he may likely get just half of the projected revenue against pac, maybe 1/3 to 1/4 less than projected gate receipt against pac....it's also very likely that ad sales and internatinal rights to show this fight won't be as much.

    In total $8m max.

The article doesn't seem to have correct information.

    What were the purses for

De La Hoya-Mayweather, De La Hoya-Pacquiao
    Hatton-Mayweather, Hatton-Pacquiao
    Marquez-Mayweather , Marquez-Pacquiao 3
    Mosley-Mayweather, Mosley Pacquiao

    Cotto-Mayweather purse; legit source! Cotto-Pacquiao

Victor Ortiz actually had a very good idea on how to split up the money (first smart thing the guy has ever said). He said they should break everything down and look at what each fighter makes for fights. Figure out the split from there. That is the only fair way to do it.

Maybe not in the P.I. But Floyd is huge already in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He is also the biggest draw in the USA, which is where most of the revenue is made.

Could be 30 Million and floyd keeps all ppv revenue in US. :think

Cotto proved he is a ppv draw, everyone knows who he is.

But I doubt it I think cotto gets say 15 million out of this.

I don't believe either side is getting a guarantee and that a previous article mentioned it was going to be a 65/35 split of everything including PPV buys, ticket sales, and also to each fighter's promotional company.

    wrong.

jmm made 3.2 mil in flat fee against floyd, plus 600,000 more in letting floyd screw him over for a total of 3.8 mil.

jmm made 5 mil guaranteed plus ppv share above 1mil. against pac.

Yeah, but the cruel cost of being blatantly robbed by corrupt Arum-Paid judges after kicking Pac's ass again was a priceless cost. :verysad

jmm only got paid $600,000 for letting himself get screwed in plain sight by everybody and imo, that's just sad.

against pac, the fight was close, could've gone either way so it's not even close to what floyd did to juan.

10 million at the most. Cotto is not the superstar people on here make him out to be. He doesnt bring enough to the table to earn 30 million.
