Does anybody suspect Alexander Povetkin is durable enough to not get KO'ed by Anthony Joshua?

Does Povetkin have the durability to avoid getting KO'ed against AJ, even if he trades?

Povetkin will introduce him to his uppercut which is a good one.

Klitshko could not Ko Povetkin, don't see Joshua being bold enough to do so either

A few year ago, yes. Now his A chin, which stood up to Wlad isn't quite as good. Well see.

I love to watch povetkin's fights, and I use to root for him. But, here comes the "but", as I have watched those fights, I have realized that he gets hit lately WAY MORE than he should, and way more than long time ago (maybe I'm wrong here, at least more than I remember him to get hit).

And because of that (and because AJ is a 2m 10000tons freak) I think that povetkin will lose by ko this match.

If I'm wrong, the better. Because I will be rooting for him tomorrow.

Watch the Joshua Takam fight. Joshua was struggling to land on the shorter Takam for most of the fight and Povetkin has more mobility, quicker hands and more snap on his punches than Takam. He also has a better chin. Povetkin also knows he can't win on the cards, he has to force Joshua to trade and unsettle him early. I think Joshua will go down at some point and won't have the same luck he got vs Wlad with holding and time wasting.

No. A marauding Joshua takes Povetkin out in 3 rounds, but honestly think that guy has gone. In his place is a cautious millionaire who knows how much winning is worth. Joshua looks up to Wlad and his formula for success. He has a blueprint for beating Povetkin. No inside fighting, very little counters. Hope I'm wrong.

Povetkin is the best technician division. With a legit inside game, why would Joshua risk it. Povetkin is still dangerous but cannot handle a barrage from Joshua, wether we see it is another thing.

Sasha is very tough. But he's past his best, few inches shorter, 25 lbs lighter, and 10 years older, so many disadvantages here.

I'd be surprised if he lasts 12, let alone if he wins.

I think it depends on what Joshua we see......

Lewis/Wlad dragged along 12 rounds UDs against weaker opposition.

Hopefully the praise/criticism is consistent though.

This is a far sterner test than Luis Ortiz.

AJ has turned into a Wlad 2.0 as he knows every single opponent he faces can end his paydays soon as a champ. Hearn knows this too. He definitely gave AJ advices HOW to box and win safe decisions at home. I doubt we will ever see AJ again who was boxing offensively from the first second and trying to knock the **** out. I think Povetkin will lose a wide decision without getting in serious trouble.

Povetkin had an excellent chin but he's 39 years old and so there's a far greater chance of it happening now than there would've been when Pov was in his prime. AJ hits really hard but it's his speed of hand for a man of his gargantuan dimensions coupled with his big man power that makes him so dangerous.

The Best chin AJ has fought ??.. Can hit as well. I don't think it will go 12. But the AJ of late seems to be thinking of the win rather than blowing them away.If AJ has that mentality it could go 12. I'm sure Pov will be doing his best not to go to the cards.

Yes. Only worry for me is if Povetkin's age affects his stamina in those late rounds. Providing he can survive at least until 8 or 9 rounds and look reasonably comfortable, he definitely has a chance of going the distance. Another thread brought me to the attention of the cold weather tomorrow. It might have a factor on how AJ approaches it. AJ came in a bit heavier than last time, so he's definitely got more of that body to warm up in those horrible temperatures. Povetkin came in really light and he'll be much sharper from round 1 I think.

I have a feeling those conditions will make AJ be more aggressive in the early stages of the fight. We may just be in for fight of the year here. I swear I said something similar when the fight was just announced a few months back.

Povetkin will attack, attack, attack. No doubt about it. If AJ's having to sit back and be less active, the conditions will play a part on his body. I think Povetkin will go 12 rounds, and may shock everybody.

Povetkin after a full training camp and at the last chance saloon, could well last the full 12 rounds, and i think along the way present AJ with a level of challenge he has not faced previously.

I do think AJ will win and i hope AJ wins, both as a Brit and fact that Povetkin is a drug cheat.

Povetkin has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

If accounts are true, Povetkin does seem to now have a trainer in Kirpa who he seems to be working well with, so may be that might aid Povetkin even at 39 yrs of age.

    AJ to win.
