I think the old **** is gonna match Pacquiao with Margarito @154 post Clottey , there has already been whispers of it , Arum has the two fighters as we know and it just stinks of Bob Arum to do that !!!!!!

He has catagorically stated that he hates Floyd and will not do business on his terms , Floyd is Floyd we know the guy is gonna throw spanners in the works and things wont be rosey on the negotiation table !!!!

Therefore do you think Bob Arum will ever sign off Manny to fight Floyd ?????

Mayweather said in a interview that Arum still owes him 5 million from the Gatti fight!! Promoters like him are destroying boxing!

No. Arum is a snake and will never do business with Floyd, which is unfortunate because I believe Arum himself is the main stumbling block between Floyd-Pac happening.

    i don't agree.

IF - if - floyd and manny win their next fights, then i think pac - floyd will be next.

arum's a fatcat who loves hard cash and he'll gladly turn a blind eye for a windfall like that.

It depends on Clottey-Pac. If that sells well, Floyd v Manny won't happen for one reason. Arum will realise that he can make $'s off Manny without Floyd, and he'll feed him winnable fights and avoid Floyd.

Why give him a tough match-up like Mayweather for $40 million when he there is a huge risk that he'll lose and his stock can go down, when he can fight Clottey for 20, Foreman for 20, Margarito for 20, Bradley for 20 etc.

I truly believe that Arum will keep Pac away from Mayweather for that reason, and I also believe that he'll continue those sorts of match-ups until Manny is finished, and then I believe he'll feed him Valero when Edwin is primed and Pacquiao is shot. Therefore he can cash in with Valero, because I guarentee he doesn't actually give a **** about Manny's health or legacy.

    i'm the other way.
i think arum wants the cash and maybe his best shot at seeing floyd on his knees and that's a pretty sweet smell to him.

especially if pac struggles with clottey - and i think he might.

there's just too much money involved in a pac - floyd fight and boxing needs a marquee night like this so bad.

I think things will be clearer after Pac - Clottey and Mosley - Mayweather.

There's also the argument that, from Pac's perspective, taking 90% of a smaller amount is almost as good as taking 50% of something twice the size.

On the other hand, though; I don't think Pac's stock will necessarily fall all that far if he loses to Floyd. A lot of people thought Marquez beat him and, if anything, that fight only enhanced his reputation as everybody saw a damn good rumble. I still think he'd command fairly enormous earning potential (for both Arum and himself) even if he lost, to say nothing of what would happen if he won. And, if the fight was in any way close, any potential rematch would be bigger than the Beatles. Arum probably sees that too, which is why he might overcome his misgivings and take the risk.

    Of course he will.

He just wants to put Pacman against his own welters first. Thats too much safe risk-free money to pass up. Then he'll take the big payday against Mayweather.

This latest move of Arum's will backfire.

    You read it here first.

Even if Shane loses to Floyd I still want to see Shane vs. Pac. I think there's a greater chance of that happening than Pac-Margo due to easier negotiation. It's doubtful Margo will ever fight in America again.

Good point overall , i agree with most of what you have said , it is without question that Arum is looking to sell brand Pacquiao with out the help of Mr Mayweather , that is clear , i do however think Arum is 100% sure that Pacquiao beats Mayweather , i think Arum's motives for not wanting to deal with Mayweather lie in the fact Floyd is a ****in nightmare to negotiate with and Arum has just had all about he can take of Mayweather .

Therefore he will look at people like Margarito , Bradley , Valero etc etc , and he must know in the back of his mind Pacquiao is done by the end of this year in boxing as he is heavily into politics in the Phillipines .

Margarito and Pacquiao are both in Bob Arums hands , he manufactered Cotto Pacquiao he's looking to do the same here , he has already said it !!!!!!

If Margarito gets his licence back , Arum will push for this one and i think may have it signed and sealed before the Mosley Mayweather fight .
