Does anybody think Mundine might have a chance against Pavlik?

Mundine at his best (Green and Soliman II bouts) would have a very good chance, but since he has faded a little, is trying to drop to 160, hasn't fought anybody with a pulse in the last two years and seems to have misplaced his testicles... no chance.

If Mundine can make the weight with little side effects he still up against a massive middle who we know has the power to KO and take a punch from naturally bigger guys (Jermaine Taylor size wise being the Kessler of the middle weight division) Styles are one thing but most physical advantages in this fight go to Pav.

Whilst Pav was/is overated, he'd still clean up Mundine without too much problem as he's even more overated.

I hate Mundine as much as the next bloke, but I can still look at him objectively as a fighter. If they fought right now.. methinks theirs a good chance Mundine gets stopped. His just not quiet as sharp as he was - his old for a fighter whos bread and butter is reflexes and genuine natural ability.

If it was the Mundine of 5 years ago.. I think it would go the same was as Kessler-Mundine. I reckon Mundine would keep pretty active, trying to keep away. He'd have his moments, but just not do enough to really be competitive.

    I agree.
Mundine would have had a great chance 2 years back.

It's funny though, many people are only going over the hypothetical match up now after Pavlik got schooled by Hopkins. I didn't rate Pavlik that much better off before his loss to Hopkins as I always maintained that he was a hype job waiting to get exposed.
The thing is that Mundine himself has declined and is less of a fighter than he was 2 years ago. So although some are only rating Mundine's chances now, I reckon he had a better shot 18 months back when there would have been much more reward on offer.

Must admit that while I believe Choc could win a decision I'm stunned how Pavlik has gone from the next great middlweight to an over-rated great white hope all because he got beaten by a legend at light heavy....

Pavlik is a beast at 160lbs and that's where he belongs.

The "next great middleweight" thing was a matter of opinion. I for one was not of that opinion. I thought he was overrated way before he ever thought of fighting hopkins and so was pretty much sure JC would flog him too, in fact I believe that JC would have embarrased him even more (a la Lacy where he would question his career).

Mandy is just trying to get the weakest genuine world title holder in there so he can swan around Australia proclaiming to twats like you that he is a "Genuine " two weight champ , Geez Agay your a tool :nut but happy new year to you all the same :thumbsup
