Tyson was never again the best heavyweight after his loss to Douglas, never even in the top 3 best heavyweights.

Floyd is still the best in his division more than 10 years later at 35. Tyson was doing **** all in his 30s. Tysons best wins were over old larry holmes and small spinks, Floyd has wins over several in their prime hall of famers at 130 and 135

Tyson cleaned out a division of exchampions who were good. Berbick,Smith,Pinklon,Tucker,Biggs,Holmes,Tubbs,Spinks,Bruno,Williams and demolished most of them. Floyd handpicks older guys and has not had a legit superfight yet against a top guy. Bowe and Lewis were post Douglas, which was out of Tyson's prime. It was a short prime, but it was still his prime from 86-89. Ducked Foreman? Tyson lost his title in 90,and Evander beat Douglas late in 90, and Foreman fought Holyfield in April of 1991. So after Foreman lost, when was Tyson going to fight him? When Foreman beat Cooney which was sort of his breakout fight in Jan. of 1990, 2 or 3 weeks later Tyson fought Douglas.

nothing Floyd has done has proven this. He handpicks guys and will not take on big challenges. Mike took them all on regardless of losing.

Tyson would eff Floyd up in one round and then eat his children.....Then he would eff up Pacquiao and eat his wife AND her twin sister.

Of course he ranks higher then Tyson. I love Mike Tyson, it's hard not to if your a boxing fan, but Floyd skill level is superior to Tysons. Imagine if Floyd had Tyson power, that with Floyd mind set and defense would be a killer combination. Floyd is still on top since the beggining of his career, Tyson lost that edge after his trainer died. Floyd focus and work ethic alone topples Tyson by a land slide. He's definitely more of a ATG then Tyson.

those bums Tyson fought were the best of the 1980's heavyweights. Berbick was champion. Smith was champ and beat Witherspoon and fought Holmes and gave him a tough fight, Tyson stopped an older Larry whom no one stopped after that, he beat Tucker who made Douglas quit, he beat Biggs. I am not sure those were bums. Floyd has handpicked olds guys and never took on a prime young elite fighter. That is a fact.
