Boxing is one of the most corrupts sports in the world. Anyone who doesn't believe that judges and referee's are paid off from time to time is completely naive and gullable as ****.

This whole world is corrupt from the governments / police / sports Governing bodies / banks / every single big business on the planet in one way or another. Boxing is no different, if you don't know that then you are probably young and don't know the way this world works yet.

He might not pay them off directly, but the judges know who puts on the cards. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that you don't want to get on that guy's bad side.

Can't say he does personally, but I believe judges are being paid off. Arum probably has his hand in this.

at the lower level where it doesn't attract attention maybe, but at the top level would be very risky especially for an established promotional outfit. fighters come and go, i don't think any promoter will take that risk at this point in time for a fighter.

other people that are more likely to do it are managers or backers of a promising prospect.

Nobody said GBP or Don King haven't done the same.. The thread is about Arum, so that's what people are talking about. Why does everything have to be a pissing contest between both sides? Can't talk about one without the other?

What promoter at some point hasn't paid off the judges or at very least made it very clear (suggesting complicity of the athletic commissions/sanctioning bodies) that their future getting big fights would be a lot brighter if the prospect was to be awarded any decision?

arum cooperating with investigators shut down governing bodies practice of demanding payment from promoters/fighters/managers for a chance to fight for their belt.

i hope you don't think that king and duva were such nice guys and were not also paying ibf, wbc or the other boxing organization for a chance at their belt.
