Does anyone actually think Ruiz is the best HW in the world?

I don't know what to rate Ruiz.

I did have AJ as my #1, but it nags at me whether AJ was just having an off night.

He has to be top 10, but #1? I'll need to see Ruiz fight one more elite level guy to make up my mind.

Ruiz has the majority of the belts so yes Ruiz is number one, give him his fairly won time in the spotlight, Wilder only wanted to fight AJ if terms suited him, Fury had not earned a shot and Ruiz sought and grabbed his shot at the title so yes Ruiz is numero uno, how long he stays number one is open to debate

Wilder smashes Ruiz and Fury boxes his ears off so no hes not number 1 despite holding most of the belts. Id even bet on Parker to beat him again if they met

I didn't have Sanders as #1 after pummeling Wlad Klitschko. I didn't have RJJ as #1 when he ran circles around John Ruiz. I give Ruiz Jr. credit for pulling off the upset. It takes a lot more than one good night to be #1.

He's top 10 at the moment in my book, that's all. Whyte, Pulev, Povetkin could potentially all beat Ruiz Jr just simply due to his appalling, unprofessional conditioning.

Good for him, every fight will be dangerous from now on. Win or lose he will remain a big moneymaker, he has that Amir Khan type of marketability...even if he keeps getting stopped

Povetkin is washed up, Ortiz is old, Whyte is overrated and he already destroyed AJ. Usyk is the one guy that could really be a bad matchup for im. Usyk is very skilled and if he can take a HW punch he`ll be tough to beat and id favor him against Ruiz. Of course he has to prove himself at HW first.

I am dismayed at how people still do not give Andy Ruiz enough credit!! I am definitely sure that that was no FLUKE! I watched him against Dimitrenko recently and although Dimitrenko has become a sort of a top journeyman Andy looked terrific in that fight and he was going to pose AJ problems at all times. Too many people on steroids are watching boxing i think...thinking that the great physique would guarantee you a win in a boxing match...No!!! It is a fighter's game and Andy Ruiz has always proved that he is a top fighter. Styles make fights and AJ does not have the style to beat Ruiz. AJ would always try to land the first punch and Ruiz is always going to make him pay. So either he knocks him flat out like WIlder could do or he outboxes him for 12 rounds like Tyson Fury would do (And Parked already did).
AJ is a great character, a phenomenal athlete...a real warrior in life but not in pure fighting. He was close to being defeated against Klitchko and Povetkin but now had a really tough guy to beat. A dangerous, HUNGRY boxing animal against him and...Joshua was not AS HUNGRY!
I want to see the rematch, because what we witnessed yesterday was a true spectacle!
    Cheers!

Here are my thoughts on this:

I think Fury is #1. He legit beat Wilder who was gifted a Decision by crooked judges.

I don’t think Ruiz is #1. Sometimes fighters just have other fighters number (example Mayorga over Forrest) and I don’t think a rematch would be any different I think Ruiz beats Joshua again in similar fashion.

Joshua himself had a good resume (better than Wilder) but he seemed to have struggled after the Wlad fight with punch resistance and stamina. Not saying Wlad was the cause of this it was just a time stamp where to me Joshua didn’t look as sure of himself and his style after that fight. Joshua has better wins than Wilder does.

It is going to take a heck of an effort and re-tooling for Joshua to beat Ruiz in 5 or 6 months. It isn’t impossible but Joshua is going to have to rebuild and want it. Champions in the past have been able to do this. Can Joshua? Jury is still out.

There is no BEST HW in the world right now. Maybe Tyson Fury, yeah. He beat Wilder and he probably would beat current version of Joshua aswell. So yes, I think if there is a best HW in the world it's Fury and he has no title right now so whe have to find out about that in the future if he fights the champs. I really don't understand why he isn't taking those fights now, it won't be as easy as now to win all those belts ever again.

We had two champs in Wilder and Joshua which are basic and not very skilled.

They simply have two major attributes which are gave them a big edge: Their Physique and body composition (Wilder has height and rangy arms, Joshua has tons of muscles and crafty body) and the power (both have tremendous power, Wilders power is more lethal for sure).
In a weak era like that this might be enough to rule the division for years as we saw & see.

Both are skillwise very, very low level fighters. Both lacking fundamentals like footwork (both), fluid combination punching (both), head movement (both), a sharp and superior jab (both). Joshua might also have a suspect chin as he was wobbled a few times on the level he fought recently (Povetkin, Whyte, Klitschko, Ruiz).

It's good for the division that Ruiz KTFO Joshua. It destroys the myth of the unbeatable Adonis Joshua who is an ATG boxer. No, he isn't. Wilder isn't aswell. The myth around Wilder probably already destroyed in the FUry fight. Hopefully Ortiz or Fury in the rematch will make it OFFICIAL.

It's an open division right now.

    My ranking right now is

    1. Fury
    2. Wilder
    3. Ruiz Jr
    4. Joshua
    5. Ortiz
    6. Pulev
    7. Whyte
    8. Hunter
    9. Hrgovic
    10. Rivas/Parker

    I would rank Miller between 4. - 7. probably.

Boxing fans once again showing they don't know what's going on when they rank Ruiz as even top 3.

Ruiz/ Povetkin even Takam to an extent would always pose more problems then a Fury or wilder bc they are tall guys who aren't aggressive.

One would also have to have major delusions to favor Ruiz in a rematch knowing AJ knocked him down and fought a very bad fight, nothing Ruiz did actually got him the win its how AJ went about the fight himself.

Until Ruiz defeats him again how can any logical person rank him in top 3 let alone at number 1 spot ? He was a fat slob not a top 10 guy the other day of Millers replacement on here now AJ's overatted today ? Give me a break. lol

The HW division is so bad, that this guy holds almost all the titles right now. When a bum beats a bum, he's still a bum. Not saying they are bums but you get the concept.
