Does Anyone Believe 2lbs will NOT Affect Canelo?

From the comments I see, it seems like everyone believes 2 lbs is no big deal.

For an athlete with very low bodyfat like Canelo, cutting an extra 2 lbs after presumably cutting 16 lbs WILL have an effect on him. He will not be as sharp and will have less energy during the fight.

I think this is a massive advantage for Floyd who will be as sharp and quick as he always is.

Will the 2lbs cut have more or less of an advantage than the 15-20 lbs that Canelo will have on Floyd in the ring?

Alvarez is fighting Steve Forbes? :-(

    Actually, I am not surprised.

Canelo at his last weigh in was at 153, it won't make a difference.

oh shut up. I can make the argument Floyd is already at a disadvantage fighting even at 147 because that's his walking around weight and he doesn't have the advantage of putting on 20 lbs overnight.

    But its bull**** so i won't. cut.the.bull.

that's what it comes down to. I don't like this catchweight at all, but it won't hinder Canelo more than the 20 pound advantage Canelo will have on fight night

Canelo is a little under 5'8" and is only 23. He should be able to make 152 with little issue. However, everyone is different. It could definitely affect him. However, fighting at JMW instead of WW will also affect Mayweather, as will being almost 37 at the time of the fight. Mayweather holds all the cards, and is already giving up a lot in terms of size and age. It's not much of surprise that he's going to make Canelo sacrifice at the scales.

He probably "walks around" at 180.

The guys fighting weight is 170!

Whereas Floyd walks around at 150.

Yes the 2lbs is an issue, but Floyd is giving up 20lbs in the ring!

Who cares about 20lbs when speed and stamina are gone. It is neither healthy nor safe.

Who says his speed and stamina will be gone?

    He weighed 153 last time.

He weighed 150 against Hatton not that long ago.

Lol they never give Floyd props. It's disgusting. I know Pac fans and Floyd fans don't like each other but since I've been on this forum, I've seen nothing but constant hate from pac fans and these Pac fan alt accounts, with the word Mexican in their usernames to disguise themselves ,.smh I never seen a Floyd fan on here hate on Pac so bad.
