And if stereotypes are anything to go by, we'd be calling him a jammy *******.

Good call on CO though, quality the man was.

took me a while to get that :lol:

yeh he was quality, i aint seen a great deal of him which is annoying me recently. And its weird as i really like him. If you get me Ortiz was a very technical pressure fighter.

I don't really like doing lists but I'd have Ortiz right up there. Like mantequilla said, what a beautifully balanced fighter.
I would love to see the Loi fights though.

I'll not call you thick or anything if you got it in the end :D

A very, very technical pressure fighter, more subtle than , let's say, Chavez and a true master on the inside offensively and defensively. He could just do everything equally well, including fighting effectively from every range. I was watching the difference between the 1st and 2nd Laguna fights a few weeks ago, how he followed Laguna around too much in the 1st fight, but was able to bait him, march him down and draw him in in 2nd fight. Just quality.

So would I Al. Loi must have been some fighter if some people believe he deserved to win all 3 fights. The footage available doesn't do him justice.

Yeh he was a master like Chavez as you say but a bit better and more technically sound and with a better jab

He's no doubt the definition of an all-time great, I don't think anyone can argue that point.

As being the best ever at lightweight? That's up for debate.
