Does anyone believe this sparring story from Johnny Nelson?

Agreed. Gone from being a respected pundit in the good old days when there were serious, impartial commentators on Sky to being the biggest Matchroom shill there is, and a lying one at that who tells ludicrous fables purely to get Youtube channel clicks.

He's like the court jester to Frochs' pathetic bad cop act. The pair of them are fooling no-one, bought and paid stooges.

Probably did tbf, Fury spared a lot of fighters especially when he was coming through. I know a few people who spared Fury and pretty much said the same as what Nelson did, he looks like a big lump but when you get in there he's extremely hard to hit and a very smart boxer.

Nelson wasn't exactly a star and bringing in superstar boxers for his camp, if some youngsters were around I'd have no doubt they might pick a few for sparring, happens a lot in the UK.

Plus its not like he said he starched Fury or anything, he said the complete opposite so nothing really for him to gain ego wise or else.

 

As for not telling it before, pros spar thousands of guys throughout their career, might not have made sense to bring it up if it wasn't relevant for fights he's been involved with Fury somehow. I mean if you have Fury v Wlad who the **** cares about Johnny Nelson sparring him when he's a kid. It's not that much of a deal, there'll be a **** load of boxers who spared each other that we have no knowledge of because sparring is sparring.

 

He is saying something nice because he is **** scared of Fury incase Tyson grips him and tells him to stop talking shite.

 

I’m thinking, and maybe not as complicated as your conspiracy, but had a spar with Fury, then, now get this, re-told the story when interviewed about Tyson ... as for brown noseing, hes mates with Brooke - same stable, same trainer - Would be weriod if he slagged him off
