Does anyone beside me actually appreciate Wladimir Klitschko's style?

I actually find him entertaining. He has fluid movement and footwork for such a big man and his jab is a beauty. It is also interesting to me how he can control distance so well with that jab. He does have some boring fights like the Ibragimov fight though. Am I the only one who doesn't hate his style on ESB?

Entertaining-wise? No, not even as a guy with a Wlad avatar. Apprecition in terms of boxing ability? Hell yes and nobody can take that from him. He's the #1 text book fighter in the sport right now.

On the outside I fully agree with this, but his inside game and body punching are lacking

I wouldn't say appreciate.....Respect...Yea. But you appriceate styles that bring an element of excitment and/or craft. Having talent and god given gifts help but if you use those attributes to fight a safety first kind of Fight b/c you are avoiding risk ALL the time then of course your fan base is gonna be impacted.

Boxing is a risky sport and the ones that take the risk while still incorporating skill, craft and intelligence are the fighters that become great and are love universally.

Wald is definitley a skillful guy with a lot of talent but he doesn't take risks and I don't blame him. He wants to win and knows how to win. It's just not always pretty or exciting. There's a reason why Vit gets more respect and attention out of the two bros even though technically he's not on Wald's level. Boxing fans appreciate "FIGHTERS" who just so happen to be involved in the sweet science.

Floyd is similar to Wald in the sense that he too looks to win by avoiding any signs of risk...he gets the job done but he could use those God given talents to put himself out there more and put on a show rather than to avoid riks and outpoint opponets.

Lucky for Wald he's a HW and his punches do a lot of damage so Wald does get the KO most of the time, but it's so boring up until the end in most of his fights.

No, its only effective because he doesnt face good competition, I think hgis accomplishments are great and no discredit to the guy but a good boxer takes that jab away from him and then he would have nothing left, if he cant land the jab he is forced to change style and leave his chin open, thats why I always say that prime wlad is tailormade for a guy like Iron mike or even joe frazier.
I think Vitali is the greater fighter he would have a much bigger shot vs tyson and definitely beat frazier, he would be in trouble vs big punching fellows and fast guys that would outbox him like prime Ali.
Klits are great but we cant see them pushed to their limits, haye is the only one in the division with that potential to see what they are really like, especially wlad im curious how he deals with haye when he jumps inside to land bombs, if haye can avoid the jab while coming in wladimir is in trouble, believe that.

His inside game hardly exists, no doubt about that. But what he does, he does best (namely fighting tall). It's not like he allows his opponents to fight him inside.

The Klitschko brothers are average fighters, as was Lennox. There's a reason no one cares about the HW division: it's all about cherrypicking, and the fighters are all either talentless and/or overweight. Listen to Larry Holmes on "On The Ropes Boxing Radio" episodde 32. He says the same things.

Nope, boring and dull. Put in a quick and explosive inside fighter and he's a goner.

Don't like Wlad's style to much...
    Beats 30+ Ali's style and 40+ B-Hop's style by a country mile, but I don't like it!
    Like the KO's though! :bbb

Well you can't blame him for the inside game though. He has immensely long arms. He can't get into hooking contests with guys that have short arms like Sam Peter. The same way Peter can't get into a jabbing contest on the outside.

Wlad needs to get a decent uppercut and some work to the body

Floyd is more boring than Wlad imho .... and Wlad actually gets KO's
Honestly if Wlad was American or would act like a thug he would be worshiped.

I appreciate Wlad's style even though i prefer Vitali for excitement, and against popular belief i think Vitali is the better technician/ring general
The fact he can control distance just as well as Wlad without ever having to hold says it all.

    Yes. Yes, I like it.
One has to appreciate someone who's taken the "science" part of "the sweet science" seriously, and managed to apply his craft so efficiently and with such consistency for such a long period of time.
And on top of that, an insane KO ratio - what's not to like?
I love the science of boxing, and thus I love what the K Bros have done. Too bad there's too few challenges for them out there.

Hey, I also enjoy those charge-in-like-a-madman type of fighters like everyone else, but everyone can't be exactly alike. What a dull boxing landscape that would be.
