i have been watching a lot of friday night fights...checking out the younger fighters that are up and coming...and i realized that i know not many boxers that use the philly shell defense...i would have thought that some boxers in this generation would be trying it...i mean its very affective, if its used correctly...but i also know that its hard to be affective because it takes smarts and movement and flat out skill...pbf has been using it since his beginnings...surely he isnt the only one that uses this style...anyone else uses it?????????

I've seen some other fighters use it at times. Anthony Peterson will utilize for short stretches. The same with Andre Berto and Zab Judah. I actually saw a female boxer use it as well.

i think you should practice your philly shell defence considering you call yourself "hotboiboi". also, it's spelt "EFFECTIVE" not "Affective".

    THANKS

Wasn't it the Gatti fight where DLH started using the Mayweather defence? His shoulder rolls looked awkward though, too slow and would get him out of position. I think, if I remember correctly, he employed it against Vargas as well. His defence was already very good and I think he chucked it when he realized this.
