halfway through the 2nd episode and i keep hearing freddie's discomfort on how pac is not focussed, taking it easy and unease/tension in the camp

ya think this is mind games? cos i'm pretty sure if it was actually true freddie would want to keep it a secret

    i dont buy it

There are constant conflicting reports coming out of the Pac, it's become a little tiresome and boring.

i hear what you're saying fella...
but, i think freddie is his own man, and i think he always speaks pretty honestly and doesnt play those kind of games...now, i could be wrong..but from all the various interviews, programmes etc on him, i think he talks as he sees it.

    Its all bollocks.

Roach is a ****ing bellend. I respect what he's done hugely but I cant stand the guy now.

Half of his stuff on 24/7 is "Manny wanted to do this but I told him not to and he listened to me, he knows im the boss, look how great I am!!!!"

Then theres the daily statements on what they're going to do to Cotto. Shut the **** up you ****.

The whole "Pac-man" thing is geting boring to be honest.

I'm not sure if its his annoyning fans or the way that every ****er on TV is on a permanent wankfest about him, but I'm hoping that Cotto does him.

This is exactly what I would of wrote. I used to like him but he wants the spotlight all the time.

Can't deny he is a great trainer though.

I thought the 1st episode was quite interesting but the 2nd one was awful. I doubt it will even be the worst 24/7 Pacquiao's been involved in to be honest (De La Hoya).

Cotto seems pretty interesting when they actually bother showing any of him. Contrary to his boxing personality where he just seems a robot that is wheeled out of his box every 4 months.

The other bit of the show is basically the Freddie Roach show.

Agreed Cotto is a humble but fun type of guy and there's alot of more deep stuff to be seen about him and Evangelista and the feud and also his Topsy Tervy marriage and the Magarito fight but all the show is about is Roach at the moment.

Agreed, we need to see more of Cotto in this series. In the first 15 minutes of the first episode Cotto and his camp were on for 4 minutes. Which is a damn shame because as you two say I'm far more interested in seeing Cotto's story.

I don't buy it personally. I feel Roach knows the 2lbs might not affect Cotto as much (I think it may do a little) and wants to make him more gung-ho (and therefore open to counters) by leading him to believe Pac is not at his best.

Personally I feel Cotto is being so underrated here that he will pull it off. Boxing seems to work like that sometimes, and Pac has been on an unbelievable run as of late. Will it end this time?

my own gut feelings are Cotto early or Pac late.

  14. 24/7 is OK but It's a little bit dramatised. Tensions can be blown up to appear more than they are in an attempt to make a pretty dull programme seem a little more interesting.

    Great avatar :good

I agree. Like in the 1st episode where apparently it turns 'severe'. Roach has a little word with Pac which says he wants to leave ASAP, next thing Roach is saying that 'I told Manny I was gonna quit'

Highly edited and stylised, makes for riveting viewing to casuals and has some interesting tidbits for diehards. But mainly it's a promotional thing.
