Little interest in this fight for me. But then again, who exactly is out there for Dawson? Johnson, Hopkins, and maybe a young guy like Cloud or Mack but overall light heavy is a very slilm division. Still, this fight looked bad from the start and if the fight is postponed then it will just be that much longer before Dawson can move on from Tarver. I don't see it being cancelled because Tarver is the one invoking the rematch clause and he'll probably still do so.

I was looking forward to the Tarver/Dawson rematch. Tarver always performs at a higher level in rematches. I don't know what he could have done at this stage of the game - but he was the former champion with a legitimate rematch clause. It was up to Dawson to retain the belt. If he could stop a veteran like Tarver, it would go a long way toward sending a message to the rest of the division. I would like to see him rematch Glen Johnson as well.

This was a pointless rematch. The real rematch would be Dawson vs. Johnson. I believe I had Johnson winning that one, if I recall.

Even Dawson Tarver 2:tired is still a more interesting fight than Kesslers next total non event of a fight.

the only person this would help is Dawson. Dawson could have got more experience fighting Tarver. Tarver would not have won this one. Dawson should concentrate on the 168 guys moving up.. A Dawson/Taylor fight is a good one.

No. A rematch isn't warranted. Dawson/Tarver was not close enough to merit a rematch. Dawson was the clear cut winner. No rematch should be offered.

I want to see Dawson fight Johnson again, since Johnson beat the crap out of him, but was cheated out of a decision by the criminal judges. Johnson almost knocked Dawson out!

Hell no I never wanted the rematch in the first place. Chad need to vacate and move down. Bigger and better names down there.
