After last night, I think it's fairly clear that Ward would beat the **** out of Arthur 8 times out of 10. In my opinion, he is able to do all of the things that gave Abrahan trouble last night. And his stamina is much better than Dirrell. Also, seems like the rough-housing would give Arthur some problems. ****, Ward wouldn't have laid on the canvas after the obvious cheap shot. He probably would have gotten up and started throwing elbows and **** once they made it on the inside. (In the name of Jesus, of course.:roll
Not 8 out of 10, 10 out of 10. Ward's timing and ring smarts is impeccable...he doesn't need to run backwards. He can stand his ground, identify openings and take advantage of them with frightening speed and accuracy. AA can try and walk Ward backwards, but he'll be countered effectively all night long.
I say 8 out of 10, because you never know what happens when a guy has power like that. But I agree, the really safe bet is with Ward in this one.
First, Abraham robbed himself from Dirrell's toughest moments in the championship rounds with that stupid stupid move, second, Ward is really good on the inside not at the distance Dirrell beat AA. It was pretty much given if Dirrell can improve his balance and move well, his significant reach advantage would trouble Abraham, on the other hand, look where Ward won the fight vs. Miranda and Kessler. At that range, Abraham is devastating and actually stated to find more success at long range as well yesterday evening, when he landed a punch too much. I'm still now sure on Ward, but the Dirrell fight will answer most questions.
I think Ward would beat him even worse. Ward is a much more mentally stronger than Dirrell. He would take Abraham apart. I can't wait for that fight.
Ward does not have a problem giving it back, you're right. He mans up. But I think Ward can adjust to anybody in this tournament and mess 'em up. So, no knock on Abraham there really. I think he beats Dirrell too.
no doubt but Ward would still have to be on his toes the whole night. If he gets sloppy, he can get ktfo. but i think Ward wins a clear decision
