When i first saw this guy fight i was skeptical. The more i see of Mundine he has a lot of skill. And a lot of speed and it makes me wonder, why isn't Kelly fighting him next? Compared to the guys at 54 this is the best fight. And if we want to see Pavlik fighting the best opponents than i think he needs this fight.

Yeah, Mundine wouldbe a pretty good fight.

    However...

    1. Mundine is not what he was. He obviously still have not gotten 100% back from his eye injury and dI don't know if he is partly blind on one eye. either way, his level has been significantly lower since the fights against Kessler, Green and Soliman.

    2. Mundine talks a lot but I think he is in it for the money more than the fame, so he will not travel.

    3. Pavlik is not exactly keen to travel too far himself.

So, all in all, I don't think it can happen.

He looked Darn good in this, [YT]aA2fB9sOhOI[/YT]

I would rather see Kelly in against him. I dont think Sturm would be much of a contest, after seeing him against Gevor. And the guys at 54, well there exactly that, from 54. Smaller men. I think Mundine seems to be a big middle and he use to fight at super middle i was told. So i'd like to see this more.Does anyone know if he'd take the fight against Kelly? I want to see Kelly back to his best, its been so long now.

I think Sturm VS Pavlik is the fight everybody wants to unify the division however I would like to see Mundine VS Pavlik in Australia.

Mundine can get the cash to brink Pavlik out as he did Kessler.

I still think Pavlik wins but Mundine has great evasion and speed so it should make it interesting while it lasts.

I scored the Kessler VS Mundine fight 116-112 to Kess......I think Kess at SMW is a harder fight for Mundine than Pavlik at MW.

Just dont see the fight being made....Pavliks men have picked the targets and Mundine is not on the list.

Geale VS Mundine was a great fight...as you can see from the video.....toe to toe war....both guys took big shots in every round and the fight was very close.

In the end Mundine walked away with the IBO MW world title.

The fight was that good interest is building in Australia for the rematch in 3 months time.

Mundine is also slated to fight the winner of the Australian contender series mid next year.

These 2 fights will keep Mundine busy until late 2010

I haven't seen much of him, but damm the guys good. Its not every day you see that speed and defensive skills. Geale is good to first time i have seen him, id probably tip him to beat a lot of other middleweights. But why is my man Kelly fighting guys from 54? Instead of this guy who is obviously good. Reminds me of Glen Johnson a few years ago, he was good, and everyone chose to ignore him still before he KO'd Jones.

Geale won gold in the 2002 commonwealth games in the UK and was 22-0 coming into the world title fight 2 months ago VS Mundine.

Mundines best win was against Danny Green former LH WBA world champ who smashed Stipe Drews 18 months ago,

The Green / Mundine fight got 30,000 fans through the gate.

Mundine is 3 time world champ in 2 divisions but has never beat a top 3 fighter to win a title....all of his WT wins was for vacant titles

Im not suprised by that. My man Pavlik needs to fight him now. None of these guys at 154. Or Sturm, who i saw get dropped by Gevor. Ideal for Pavlik in September. Lets get it on! :bbb

Tell Pavliks management and HBO because they dont have Mundine on the approved list because he's a controversial gangster rapper :yep

Mundine is over the hill for some time now (since his almost-career-ending eye-infection) and didn't show any of the power he once had. I don't think the MW division suits him very well, but it doesn't matter: he's absolutely unknown in the US, this fight doesn't make sense. Paul Williams does.

As a Pavlik fan, why would anyone want to pay or even watch a bout with martinez? :tired Or any other smaller guy.

Mundine would be a better fight than Martinez. I would still prefer to see him demolish Sturm, as MW unification should be the priority. But Mundine is a reasonable name on his record if he can't find anyone else.
