Does anyone else feel like AJ is being severely underestimated?

    Fury-Klitschko 2.0 is what we’ll see imo

4x better inside and midrange than Wlad? Lol. The midrange is at least a wash. Inside game Joshua has the edge but that's because he backs his chin at times where Wlad protected his at all costs. I wouldn't say AJ is a great inside boxer though, easy to tee off on Pulev inside when nothing is coming back. We'll see when they eventually get in the ring

Prime Wladimir had no inside combinations because he tailored his style for a big man after getting sparked out multiple times when he fought like Aj early in his career. Wlad fights behind a jab and fires out his powerful right hand at times and holds opponents when they get up close. Wlad is better than Joshua at long range boxing but because Fury was able to outbox him at range Wlad didn't have the necessary tools to get to mid-close range and lets those hands fly. He got agressive in round 12 and his punch output increased but he's nowhere near as good as Joshua at firings those combos. It's not even close.

Have you seen Fury's latest pictures? He's slimming down because he's prepared to be light on his feet against Aj and jab around all day, because he knows if he tried to come forward against Aj like he did Wilder he'd get destroyed.

Fury wins. Some people just want to straight up ignore AJ's flaws as boxer, which aren't hard to spot.

Wlad was 40 when he fought Fury, so understandbly a little trigger shy. I'd look back to the Haye fight where he had no issue engaging and getting the better of Haye in the long and midrange. It's true he cuts a lot of the action in the midrange short throughout his career, but that was due to chin protection rather than lack of skill IMO. We saw in Joshua Ruiz what can happen when you exchange recklessly in the mid and short range, even against an average puncher.

Wladimir was never the combination puncher that Aj is. He peaked when he used Kronk. Wlad hits harder than Aj but Wlad doesn't usually fight aggressively. Wlad got sparked out fighting aggressively against Corrie Sanders am i right ? Yeah Sanders has fast hands but Ruiz doesn't ? Klitschko imposed himself on Haye because hes was significantly more massive, Haye was also in survival mode. As a matter of fact Haye himself isn't even as good as Ruiz in terms of combination punching. Ruiz did pretty good against Parker and had Parker on the backpedal all night. Keep in mind Ruiz got put on his ass with an inside combination and then ate a massive right hand unfazed before exchanging with Aj again. Its clear he had a solid chin and great recovery abilities.

From all of there performances compared i just see Aj as better at letting his hands go. Maybe Klitschko does have the tools to impose himself on Fury and it was just an off night. But i just think Aj can do it better

There are a lot of ways this one could go, totally depends on what game plan Fury and AG bring to the table. Think in the second Ruiz fight AG showed he can box cleverly and box on the outside. Makes for a boring fight but is very effective, just look at wlads record. Wlad rolled out that same game plan for the last 5 years of his career.

Really don't see Fury being able to recreate wilder 2 with AG, just isn't going to be able to stand on Joshua's toes without getting caught. Joshua has a bit more in his arsenal then wilder let's face it. On the outside Fury is going to be his hard to find awkward self. But probably going to take more than a jab fest for this one.

Know lots of question have been asked about AG's chin and rightly so. But let's face it Ruiz does have some very fast hand's inside and not as light handed as made out by some on here. Would still put my money on Fury but think it's going to be very close.

AJ is still the same guy that absolutely ruined by the fattest tub of lard to ever grace a boxing ring.

Now we pretend like he's legit because he stunk out the joint and won on points defeating an even FATTER tub of lard.

    Fury easy win.

Yh the ruiz fight was the worst I've ever seen him look, was embarrassing in the first fight. Is a much more rounded fighter then wilder tho. So we will see, don't think it's going to a walk in the park for fury

If it’s a easy win for Fury then it shouldn’t help Fury’s resume then right ;) shouldn’t be acknowledged as a good win lol

No, I don't think so. Seems the majority think Fury will win, but many backing Joshua and making a strong case for him. My estimate is it's about a 60/40 split on here. That's about in line with the bookies and public opinion. Joshua definitely shouldn't be underestimated, I'm sure Team Fury (despite their bravado) will be taking him very seriously.

I think people underestimate AJ because:

    • He was KOed in a bad way by Ruiz
    • He was knocked down by Klitschko and barely survived him.
    • He didn't look very good against Parker.
    • In Takam match most people didn't agree with the referee's ending the match as a TKO win for AJ.
    • He was outboxed by Povetkin in first 4 rounds
    • He had some bad moments in Whyte match
    • He fought Klitschko, Povetkin, Pulev when they were over 39 years old

In my opinion, none of these above should make anyone underestimate any fighter.
