your wlads post are getting more erratic by the day :yep At their best, Vitali, overall is slightly above wlad due to intangible factors. Wlad is the better boxer, more one-punch power, faster hands and feet, sharper punches, better jab, straighter punches. Vital is more durable, excellent stamina, workrate, able to fight inside and out, mean streak. Both are very good fighters though. Vitali matches up better with aggressive sluggers while Wlad excels against boxers. This is beacuse Vitali likes to counter more while Wlad likes to establish distance with his jab, then go to work. Wlad has a far better resume and will be around long after Vit stops so he will go down as the more accomplished hw.
Vitali is the better fighter. Wlad has the better resume. The historians will rank Wlad above Vitali, due to Wlad's resume and legacy of HW title defences.
Vitali proved that he is much better fighter in the Sam Peter fight, Wlad did straggled against Sam P
not a valid pt. Peter was a far more determined opponent against wlad. He came in at 243 and walked through wlad's punches to get in close to land his punches. against vitali, he lacked any aggression and foot speed. looks like two differnt fighters. should be obvious even to the biggest wlad hater. don't forget. sam was undefeated when he fought wlad at the time
Nonesense. He overwhelmed him 9-3. After Sanders and Brewster, he became cautious to the point of boredom. But struggle ? Sam was outclassed. Vitali just beat him worse.
Good post, though I would like to point out that Peter just turned 25 yearsold and very green at the time he fought Wlad back in September of 05. I agree that Peter was more determined and was more in shape, but he lacked basic boxing skills needed to advance in the division, he rarely threw a straight punch, was flat footed, and threw one punch at a time, and when he had Wlad hurt a couple times in that fight, he smothered his punches and didnt take a step back to get the leverage needed to finish off his oppenent. As far as who I think is better, Im in agreement with 90% of people when I say Vitali was always the better fighter, difference in toughness is what sets the brothers apart IMO. When I watch Wlad fight, I always get this sense that he's one punch away from going into panic attack and losing the belt, but to his credit, he hasnt had any problems with an oppenent since Peter, even in a very bad division, to me thats still impressive.
