Honestly, it's his tenth fight. What do people expect? If he was blasting through these guys, everyone would be saying he needs to step up. Better he faces a challenge now and learns how to deal with it than when he goes in against world level guys.

Groves fights similar to Froch and unforutnately with a style like that your chin is the main aspect in how far you will go.

Definitely Abraham is a big banger but i reckon Froch can beat him if he goes to the body. And thats a big if.

Groves is a good young fighter getting hi head down and learning his trade. De Gale is a a ****ing moron who thinks he has made it already, he is simply awful, crap. His style is embarrasing at Pro level. Groves will go futher than DeGale simply based on the fact he looks more willing to learn and get his head down. Although I would prefer him to put his left hand up a bit further up.

i think conteras was easily groves toughest opponent, maybe not the most skilled but definitley the toughest and hit decievingly hard, all this talk of groves beating magee and smith now is nonsence, they are good european level fighters, groves isnt there yet, unless groves can get his left hand higher and stop doing the stupid thing of dancing to his left whenever there isnt an opening for a punch i feel hes going to struggle to ever get there, degale beats groves

I don't think he fights anything like Froch. He is FAR more active and uses the jab a lot more too. He goes to the body more and throws straighter punches.

Groves is alright, but I don't think he'll ever get to world title level. It was a difficult fight, and first time in vegas I guess he was nervous, but he didn't look great at all. He's very wild, and gets very flustered when he thinks he has an opening.

any1 else think after groves got tagged he started to raise his hand higher. maybe as he starts upping the opposition he'll start keeping his left hand up abit more

    :good

Thought he boxed well against a difficult opponent. It's a pity that anyone can win a Commonwealth title so early in his career but using that to judge him as the finished article is really ****ing stupid.
