Does anyone else remember that Zab Judah was made to quit by Joshua Clottey?

he actually stated that he wasn't injured...the injury is a myth, also, clottey has had more chances than almost any other fighter i can think of, only to **** it up somehow...at least cintron is dramatic with his **** up, clottey is just a choke artist

 

i actually think that clottey would beat ortiz. would be betting on clottey if this happens. remember that clottey has also gave cotto a very tough fight.

 

ANytime someone gets paid to take a dive it kinda stick to peoples head.

 

yeah he could have beaten cotto if he had pushed more for it in the last few rounds, cotto was bothered by that nasty cut though, I think if that cut didnt happen he would have won a clearer decision.
But clottey is good he only has one terrible performance vs pac and thats what everyone remembers him for now, especially since he hasnt fought in over a year, I dont even know if he is retired now.

 

Judah has a Glass Jaw also.

 

well one difference about y people talk judah and not clottey now is that judah was fighting above his best weight class and on a string of tough fights against a top guy (clottey) in his weight class. judah has since moved back down to 140 picked up a belt and has looked a bit better. clottey bottled it against pac and made to look irrelevant by pac at 147. at least judah was trying and throwing vs clottey before the stoppage. clottey was checking his ears for wax vs pac

i would like to see Ortiz v Clottey.

 

Clottey couldn't do anything against a guy that most guys can't do anything against. Judah was beaten by guys like Spinks and Baldomir and was beaten up by Clottey and Cotto. Judah's problem is that he's not nearly as good as he has always been told he is and seems to think that guys will just melt in front of him and when they don't he shits himself and runs. I beat Judah is the best boxer in the world in his daddy's gym with his brother and all of his crew around him, but when it's time to fight on equal terms he chokes. He's a bit like Tyson in that respect; if the guy is afraid of him he destroys them and looks like and ATG, but if they're not then he looks flawed and average.

 

judah never good as advertised, fine. but i don't remember zab shitting himself and running vs everyone who doesn't melt: dude he took a hellacious beating in a good fight w cotto (who helped change that fight w/ some perfectly timed low blows i might add). pllus prime tyson never looked average: he got beat by buster and holy 1 (tyson was still pysically prime) but to say he looked average is about as much as an exageration as judah thinking he was the best of all time (if that happened)

 

Plus he wanted to continue again KT, even after getting his brains scrambled. He has heart. At 140 he's an entertaining fighter.

I remember his father Yoel Judah fighting the great Paul Vizzio in a PKA world championship fight back in the 80s. Vizzio was like a kick boxing version of Bruce Lee. Could actually land spinning and flying kicks in a real match. But Yoel gave him a pretty good fight.

 

He'd beat Ortiz..

 

Clottey looked like he was about to quit in the 4th or 5th... Margarito was coming on in the middle rounds...

 

Cotto, Marg and Diego were all slower than him... handspeed wise.... And not known for their great defenses, lol

Zab was small

I personally had Clottey winning the Margo fight. He was blocking most of the punches and i tend to score clean punching more than volume of punching. Against Baldomir he was ahead on cards before that premature dq, and against cotto it was very very close. That leaves us with conclusion that The only guy who beat clottey convincigly was pac.
