Does anyone else think that Wilder is a terrible matchup for Usyk?

Fury is everyone's most difficult matchup, but I agree that Wilder is a more dangerous fight for Usyk than Joshua was.

Every time this fight starts to intrigue me, and I wonder what Wilder would do to a 220 pound man, I remember that Stiverne, Molina, Szpilka and Duhaupas all made it 9+ with him, and that his only notable early stoppages are vs Stiverne in the rematch and Helenius, with all other notable fighters making it pretty far with him. And that's being very lenient on "notable". (Ie, Stiverne, Molina, Szpilka, Ortiz 1 and 2. The only decent fighter he has fought who hasn't made it at least 9 with him is Helenius.

Definitely have to go Usyk by points when I clear my mind and look at it rationally.

Wilder isn't slick enough to keep Usyk guessing or setting traps. Has Wilder ever knocked out anyone with a single left hook or a body shot? All Usyk has to do is take away Wilders right and it's a dismantling job after that. If you know anything about Usyk, you know he is more than capable of doing that very thing.

Yea he was having a right laugh even goading Wilder then ended up on the canvas sleeping

Wilder will touch you...and if you arn't touched yourself (like Fury) he will introduce you to Jesus. However Usyk is definitely mates with my pal Jesus.

Reg I think both Wilder & Fury both beat Usyk.

Let’s be honest. Wilder has a chance to knock anyone out. I would never fully bet against him but I would not say it is terrible for Usyk. He is skilled enough to avoid Wilder and potentially knock him out.

Usyk will win every round in embarrassing fashion. Wilder might land only a significant right hand or two and it will have no effect whatsoever, as Usyk has an iron chin.

It is almost comical how the Wilder nutthuggery has grown since he beat a career fringe contender named Robert Helenius.

I would never totally write-off a fluke upset, but I despair at anyone picking Wilder at any serious level.

Wilder would need to land straight rights to the body. He is still at a stylistic disadvantage.

If glass jawed not all that slick southpaw Szpilka can box Wilder's ears off for 8 rounds before finally getting caught in the 9th, then Usyk can do it for 12. But yes, obviously Usyk can't afford to make many mistakes.

I think Wilder hits extremely hard, but his level of competition has a lot to do with it - if he were fighting when Lennox and Evander were around, he'd have a lot less KOs and a lot more losses.

I do and I'd be interested in seeing if Usyk could get up like Fury did from that " undertaker shot " .
