I just took a look at the lines and the under for 10 1/2 rounds is only at -180. That means you win .59 cents for every dollar wagered. That seems like a great deal for a fight that will most likely end earlier.

So does anyone envision this fight going the distance?

Do you know what? I think I saw some opinions with regards this in the 100 other threads we have about this fight.

No chance. Pavlik will have to absorb some punishment just like last time.

I try not to envision this fight at all, whenever possible, but ESB in particular makes that kind of hard sometimes. :(

Anyway, these guys are just gimpy enough and have just enough fatal flaws between them (Pavlik with his sloppiness and Taylor with his mental bedshitting) to not manage to capitalize on each other's conquerable chins and knock one another out. Yeah, I can see it happening. I can see this being a very long and boring fight whether anyone gets knocked out or not actually. And it will most certainly get tons of "FOTY" nominations all the same by people easily impressed by a little blood and a couple of very hyped-up names.

  10. And a good question it is too, don't be put off by the remarks from others.

Considering what happened last time the smart money's on Taylor actually utilizing his boxing talent rather than standing toe to toe again however that begs the question does Taylor still have the judges favor and more importantly how easily can Kelly close that gap? Taylor is no Calzaghe he can't nulify Kelly's offence but he can better him technically - by that I mean fast in and out action with alot of jabbing.

I wouldn't put money on this rematch finishing early even with those odds Taylor will be just too careful. He's going for a safe distance finish I'd wager where his stamina and Kelly's overall determination will be the deciding factor. (and as said whether the Judges still love liking his salty financially lucrative balls but I think their goose is no longer 'golden')

  11. I think Pavlik stops him again probaly late 10-11 rounds, i can't see Taylor outboxing him, Kelly was outjabbing him in the 1st fight, and after the disasterous 2nd round was in control of the fight, and was basically kicking Taylors ass..
Taylor is at a huge psychological disadvantage here too knowing the guy standing in front of him KO'D him last time..:yep
    Pavlik KO......:hat

Just aggravated by the undue hype the first fight received, especially when it was nominated for FOTY in the same year that both Vazquez-Marquez I and II took place. That still ruffles my feathers. Totally ridiculous to put it on the same level as either. And while it ballooned out of control afterwards due to the marginal 'drama' that came from both guys being in trouble at different points, the hype had actually started long before the fight took place, when the two were built up as the no-questions-asked #1 and #2 middleweights in the world...which I never bought, especially considering neither Taylor nor Pavlik ever faced a huge threat until each other.

It was okay, but nothing special. Just like both combatants involved. :yep

No reason to expect the second to be any different. Any drama going along with this fight is created in the minds of Pavlik fanboys and Taylor fanboys. Objective, hype-immune boxing fans should care very little about this when there isn't even any title or weight division status on the line.
