I think it will go the distance this time. Taylor will try to win rounds with his quickness and if he senses that PAvlik is winning rounds he will go into survival mode this time and hope for the judges to give him a gift.

Noway this fight goes the distance.

Unless Taylor starts running for his life, I would be very shocked to see this fight go 12.

No professional fighter has ever been the 10th round against Kelly Pavlik.

    Pavlik stops him...

Pavlik is such a good finisher + keeps his power throughout the fight (because he's so relaxed and doesn't waste motion). You rarely see such poise. He notices the guy is hurt and doesn't let him escape.

Moreover, Jermain doesn't circle the ring too well and will repeatedly get driven to the ropes. There's no way he'll be able to run 12 rounds.

I don't think Pavlik has ever seen anyone past the 10th, No one can take his assault for that long. The only boxer around his weight I see going 12 rounds with him would be Calzaghe.

Horse ****:deal . What are you Pantera2000 in disguise??:think Not to mention Miranda's dumb luck of landing 4-5 in a row hail-mary haymakers on Pavlik. (Round 5 I believe, near the bell) Miranda barely fought back??!!!! WTF were you watching? Round 2 for example was insane back and forth action.

Back and forth due to Pavlik's shaky defense if anything. The fight was Pavlik's to control and win at his leisure. Miranda wasn't a threat to my grandmother that night. After round one, was there any doubt in your mind as to the outcome? I was slightly pulling for EM and gave him zero chance after the first couple of rounds. By that point I was immensely bored with the fight, it was like watching a cat with a half-dead mouse. It was only a question of how long before something of Miranda's gave out, and whether that something would be his chin or his stamina. Pavlik did not have to overcome any adversity other than his own nerves. He gave a spirited effort that was not required. Had he simply hit the brakes a little he would have won a lopsided UD or scored a slightly later stoppage, but he decided to break a sweat and make it interesting by pounding his man into submission. Good for him, good for his fans. But it was an easy night's work.

  8. What's a buffon? seriously Dan B think hard about betting on Taylor if you plan to do so he's going to have a lot of problems dealing with Pavliks Power..:-(

I could see it, but he has to put the on the track suit and jab while putting us all to sleep, or he can come to fight and get KTFO.

That pretty much sums it up IMO. Will JT come to fight or will JT come in with the mindset that he will box for 12 rounds? I personally think that JT doesn't have it in him to box for 12 rounds as he has too much of the dog mentality in him but no one can predict the future. I guess that's why gambling isn't a sure thing. You think you know but you really don't.

I'm still rooting for JT to win as i like the guy but Pavlik seems like he's the real deal.

I agree with the guy who said Taylor has too much of that dog mentality Emmanuel Steward talks about not to get into exchanges with Pavlik. Plus, he isn't an intelligent fighter to begin with and he doesn't have the stamina to outbox Pavlik for more than half a fight.

Taylor knows the judges and ref will be on his side, so I think he will run like Hell knowing all he has to do is be standing for a decision win, whether he deserves it or not, however, Pavlik will catch him before the 12 round, perhaps mid rounds. Pavlik will have to fight the ref, judges and commentators, but should still win in spite of them.

This fight will not go the distance.

Taylor seems to be okay mentally, but seems to be verses really and truly okay could be worlds apart. If JT is emotonally traumatized, so he comes in and fights scared and tenative, he will will get blown out in 2 or 3 rounds. A frightened fighter could not survive Pavlik's gunslinger style for more than 3 rounds. Kelly would smell the fear before the first bell sounded.

Taylor is not good enough defensively to outbox Pavlik for 12 rounds. He can win rounds that way, but he cannot win the fight based on good technical boxing. Pavlik will still land that stiff ass jab of his, and that is the money punch; that's the punch that sets up the right hand. Once he finds a home for the right hand, be it the head or the body, he will knock Taylor out. If JT works really hard at good solid technical boxing, he will make it into the 10th or 11th round, and may even be ahead on the cards, but Pavlik will knock him out inside 11 rounds.

JT has given a variety of indications that he is betting the ranch on recreating round 2 of the first fight. He has said, "I almost had him out of there," among other things, dozens of times. I honestly believe that the mostly likely scenario is that Jermain will come out at the opening bell with guns blazin'. Kelly will still win round one like he did in the first fight, but this time he will not clown Taylor, so there will be no round 2 type debacle. That means we get treated to a slightly less exciting, and slightly shorter version of Pavlik/Taylor I. Pavlik KO5 Taylor.
