I did this recently on facebook for Pacquiao vs Marquez 2 and found it interesting. Does anyone, with a little spare time on there hands, fancy doing this with close (preferably interesting) or controverisal decision?

    Thanks

I guess it would depend on the fight.

How about Bernard Hopkins vs Segundo Mercado 1? I've never seen it and I've heard it was a great fight

The second you put footage in a thread, thread bombs.

For the record I think leonard won 8-4. Fairly comfortably outboxed hagler throughout.

One of the greatest victories in history.

Anyone have anything to say about that

8-4 seems rather steep, but not outrageous.

Technically it's the second smallest win margin and only 1 round different from 7-5.

Yes, because that one insane judge gave Leonard like 10 rounds.

Ali-Young has been discussed before. I suggested creating a monumental thread, or threads, where each of the individual rounds is posted, then analyzed and discussed in succession. Who won each round and why? What criteria was applied?

Red Cobra and I are on the same page about most issues, but Ali-Young is one of the exceptions and we've agreed that this would be an excellent subject for many of us to go toe to toe on, a highly inflammatory topic for so many of Jimmy's loyal fans.

We could also show the diapered kindergarteners in General how to engage in furious dueling yet fully remain on friendly terms through the process, a lesson in civilized discourse.

However, Ali-Young would be a protracted scholarly undertaking over a period of months or even years. We might need to create a thread and poll for each of the 15 individual rounds of the championship distance to evolve a consensus (and require a detailed description of each individual round from each voting poster on each thread) to make it work.

For younger fans, this could be tremendously educational. (But it might be best suited for those who enjoy listening to golf on the radio.) How should a match be judged? Generalship? Aggression? Initiative? What factors should be applied?

It would be a massive task, but an enjoyable undertaking for those immersed in the minutia of such details.
