I think if everyone knew pacman would be coming into the fight the heavier fighter he wouldnt really be a underdog. Pac has serious heart and skill but beating up oscar on saturday would have been easy work for any decent boxer. Its a boxing match and oscar didnt even try to punch or avoid punches, and before everyone crowns pac an all time great after beating delahoya Freddie Roach said they took the fight because Oscar was a shot fighter and couldnt pull the trigger

He deserves a lot of credit.

But like with everything you will have a group of people who takes things way to far.

This fight was more about money and name recognition then legacy.

are you serious man!! lots of people said that he will knocked out.. that dela hoya is way too big for him, isnt it right to give credit to a person who just proven people wrong.. come on man... im not saying this bec im a big pac fan.. watch the fight again man and youll see how good was he.. its not about oscar being shot.. its how pac confused him with his movement and it discouraged him,

Yes, Manny deserves some credit but not to the point of calling him a top 20 ATG for this win.

DLH would have been beaten by any top 10 Welter and maybe even top 10 Jr. Welter.

It was Roach who pushed for this fight for that very reason, in his own words.

Manny will have a very tough time with Hatton as he is bigger, physically stronger, and in his prime, but Pacquiao has a legitimate chance at beating him.

I have no doubt that Oscar was shot and weak from weight loss, bust ask yourself how many fighters could have exposed him like Manny did? This:

    is not true at all.

I dont think hes getting too much credit, no.

The fight before last Mayweather was held to only a SD over Oscar.... Pac being the smaller man (i dont really care what anyone has to say on that, if im constantly fighting two and three divisions lower then the one than the weight class that my opponent hasnt even been to in half a decade, with ridicoulas differance in height and an obvious reach differance, i dont care what i weigh during the fight, im the smaller guy)

That being said... what i do see is people letting this outcome effect their thinking. pitting pac against other 147lbers and trying to act as if this is even remotley his division.

Let the win be what it is.... a very good win against a great fighter on his way out of the sport, its almost a tradition in boxing, and a win in which he was a complete underdog, and won.

But lets leave it at that... and let manny get back down to 135 and take care of unfinished buisness. He has yet to fight the best at 135.

but this was a great win and he deserves all the credit....

People had this perception that Dlh was going to be this big, bad guy fighting a little guy. That was the lie that fooled the world. Of course PAc's fans are overrating the win. Each time your fighter wins, you have a couple of fanatics who act like their man beat King Kong. We just have to keep putting those kinds of fans in their place when they get out of line.

not possible, look at MAB's last fight in china a few weeks ago he is impressive with his speed and punches, but against pac MAB does not look good,to sum it up, it will take a really special fighter to beat oscar that way which happens to be pacman.

Yes but it is still impressive given he started his career at 106 pounds.
