I never mentioned Pac's p4p status but he jumped from his only fight at135 straight to 147 to face a fighter with extraordinary credentials who was naturally bigger than him. Floyd had more experience near and around welterweight and he's bigger than Manny yet Manny's win over Oscar was far more impressive. Even former middleweight King Hopkins never hurt Oscar as much as Manny did. That should account for something.

i rewatched the fight. oscar seem to not throwing the jab and punches anymore because of pac's own doing. he is constantly moving not just forward and backward but moving from side-to-side while bobbing and weaving. oscar did tried to jab during the early part but cannot connect due to pac's elusive movement. he wants to throw jabs but pac is nowhere near in front of him. and besides, pac's left are connecting towards hoya's face that makes hoya more tentative.

i suggest that the OP and all the doubters to view the fight again.

    So true.

I think Oscar summed it up best when he said "My style is to go forward and to fight. Manny Pacquiao boxed on his toes really well and he waited for me to make the mistakes and so he deserves everything..."

You are correct. He is also a promoter and by crying on tv would not look good. He will say something soon. That was not the Oscar we all know. Of course Pac did his job, but anyone at the top twenty WW would have beaten him that night. He was most definitely weight drained. 154 is his weight and he was fooling himself to think he could make 147 healthy. Let Pac fight any of the top WW's and see what happens or even Hatton. If he beats a top WW or Hatton convincingly, then he is the man.

Roach said Oscar was a shot fighter who couldn't pull the trigger during his fight against PBF and look how that went.

the problem with this is if pac beats another fighter "convincingly" like oscar, they would be downgraded in "hindsight" as a shot fighter. it would be better if pac would win in a "war" next time around for people would not make it sound to be an easy fight because it was pac's opponents fault and not because of what pac has done in the ring. i assure you that if pac demolished hatton next, people will start claiming that hatton was already "shot" since the lazcano fight and malignaggi is just a **** of a fighter.

Absoluetly NOT. People were syaing that this fight would do NOTHING for Oscars legacy. Saying he would dismantle Pac! And no that Pac won, people are saying Pac is getting too much credit?!?!

By the way, I was one who thought Pac would get destroyed

After the fight - NAH! PAC will not get full credit because.... and.......

I wonder what will people say if PAC lost and was slow due to weight issues?!

PAC is a bum right?! but he won!?! Funny! How people play on words and does not give credit due him:think

    Dc244xx and montecillo,

You guys are not haters but you are not looking at the bigger picture?!

Do you have any idea how many boxers are there in the whole world both PAST and PRESSENT?!

DO YOU KNOW ANYBODY OR HOW MANY BOXERS WON 3 DIFFERENT WEIGHT CATEGORIES IN THE SAME YEAR!!!

I will give the answer to you so you'll have an easier to comprehend that pac gets the credit due to him

HENRY (Homicide Hank) Armstrong! He fought pro- from 1930 to 1945. He reigned as the world FEATHERWEIGHT,LIGHTWIGHT and WELTERWEIGHTS simultanuously. In the pre-war they were allowed to hold titles in diff weight classes - source The Philippines Star NEWSPAPER.

There's a reason why ODLH was chosen as the favorite. Everyone expected him to make weight well and regain 13 pounds after rehydration.

Unfortunately, he botched his weight training and he lost the fight then and there.

Ask Roach, he'll tell you the same thing. He actually said it in the PPV himself. Oscar was only the taller man in that fight. Not the same as being the bigger man. Botching your weight loss is tantamount to suicide and Saturday showed us what happens when you botch it.

Give credit for Pac for taking the fight. TAKES BALLS.

Don't give too much credit for beating someone that any of the other WW could have destroyed with the same situation.

Hatton and Mayweather would have wrecked that weight drained DLH.
