Since when do you have to clearly win a fight just because your the challenger. If you win the fight no matter how close it is you WIN the fight!
Well if you have it 7-5 that is making a case in it self, You have a very close fight. Can I ask you who did you score the first round for?
Had Manny winning 114-113,but could have been a draw. Its probably the hardest fight i have tried to score as in some of the rounds there was very little between them.No way was the wide scorecard a true reflection though.Khan speaking shite all through it didnt help.
I scored it twice, first time watching it live I had 115 - 114 for JMM, and the 2nd time around watching it, and I even put on my glasses for this, I got 117 - 112 for Marquez. I feel Marquez won that fight, he was robbed that night.
Simple case, Pacquaio threw more punches and landed more punches across the board. He was also the aggressor for the entire fight. Marquez threw the fight away but trailing off in the later rounds.
You should always clearly win the fight. There were periods when the crowd was booing bc there was no action. In that instance who needs to be agreesive? The champ or the challenger?
It was close but CLEAR, Pac won rounds that could have gone either way, Marquez won rounds big. On the night i had it 116-112 Marquez but have watched it back twice and came out with the card 115-113. I gave the first round to Manny.
Simple case, Pac hardly landed clean shots. Marquez punches were on the button. Mannys agression wasn't affective enough to win the fight IMO.
I rewatched the fight and tried to score it for Pac, but the very best you can come up with is a draw, and that is helluva stretch. Marquez won.
I feel JMM won, but Pac did enough to get the nod. There were a few rounds in there that were close enough that anyone being honest would have to give them to the reigning champ/popular fighter. A draw would have been justice. The scorecards ruined it. 116/112? You knew the fights outcome was already determined BEFORE the first bell.
