Does anyone feel sorry for Hopkins?

No. The guy has butt loads of money.

 

Yea kinda like Lampley was going through the motions. Lets be real, no one is too excited to watch a 51 year old Bernard Hopkins fight. Shame his career ended that way, but frankly, I thought it was hilarious. Anyways, heres to a great 2017 of boxing!

No I don't, he got payed more than most here have ever seen. Boxing is a brutal sport. 50+ you have no business being in the ring fighting champions.

 

I would be if he is concussed or dislocate his shoulder, but hurt ankle? No lol

 

I don't understand what there is to feel sorry about.

I don't particularly like Hopkins but respect the hell out of him for being 51 and still fighting at championship level.

He went out on his shield like a true warrior. There aren't a lot like him around.

He's my favourite fighter ever but no I don't feel sorry for him. I'm sad that his career is finally over, he's given me a lot of joy over the years and while to finish on a loss and to be stopped for the first time is disappointing, I'm not sorry for him. He ended his career doing what he always tried to do, pushing himself further than any man should, he's almost 52 for Christ sake he should have been retired a decade and a half ago. It was almost inevitable that he would end his career on a loss or 2 he never knew when to give up and quit.

 

Yes even if he's being a sore loser. It's called empathy.

Exactly. I myself am a white boy and was never offended by comments made by Hopkins. Never felt he was a racist either, just good at pissing people off so they will hopefully watch/buy his fights "to see him lose." I consider myself lucky to have seen one of boxings true ATG's. That may not be a very popular statement to make around here anymore these days, but I don't really give a ****.
