I don't really understand the man as a fighter.

He is always in shape and seems like works hard in training.

He shows talent and ability as he was able to land on Pacquiao pretty much whenever he wanted.

But he will not open up and try and make the fight.

What does that mean.. he's scared?

Did he work his butt off thinking his goal is just to go 12 rounds?

    Was he paid off ?

    Fear of success?

    Nerves in the spotlight?

Just don't care about boxing? But if thats the case why train as hard as he does

    I mean.. what>?????

I honestly think he was scared. Not before the fight, but as soon as Pacquiao landed the first shot, he knew if he opens up, he will be Hattonized.

    I think he was scared.

I personally think he's a mental midget and too nice of a guy. He's always been more interested in soccer (or football to the brits) to begin with.

He was scared of the counter punch. He knew Pacquiao was waiting for the opening. So he basically just stood there.

Everytime he opened up Pac countered him and landed some punches. I honestly think Pac made Clottey afreid of getting countered.

It's clearly something deeper like genuine fear. Even when Clottey is having success and getting results he holds back. One feint or half jab is enough to make him retreat back into his shell. Add to that all the excuses and fake injuries and you have yourself one big bad mean chicken**** of a grown man.

    Clottey fought like clottey.

Who is shocked he didn't throw 600 punches against a torrent like pacquiao?
He still had a 27% connect rate and landed some good counter rights.

Fear of letting his guard down and ending up like this.

pacquiao was too fast for clottey, simple as that. clottey couldn't do nothing with that high guard, and the fight turned out to be just like i expected. floyd mayweather is a complete different sort of fighter that possesses a lot more problems for pacquiao.

This is the way he fights... the only thing that really surprised me is he never really used dirty tactics. You have to give credit to Pac as well, he didn't give Clottey many breaks.

He was paid off of course. Arum represents both men and will do what makes $en$e. Clottey winning didin't make sense.

it would of made sense for clottey, but of course you didn't think about that. plain and simple, clottey was just not good enough.

Maybe Bob Arum's dollars had something to do with the glorified sparring session.
