Aldo would NOT beat BJ Penn. I'd lay the house on a BJ submission.

Edgar is really good, albeit a little small BUT isn't he just an inferior version of BJ in every area? Maybe he is better on top/wrestling? That may be the only way he can beat him. Alternatively he could be really nip and tuck with his boxing en route to a decision but BJ has some crazy timing and power. Plus he has the chin at 155 to walk in on you hard and heavy.

Aldos not as fast as PAC.
BJs not much slower than Aldo, but much more powerful.

Why am I explaining this? This is crazy:lol:

This will be a massacre guaranteed.

I agree with you about the 145lb class, but think if that happens BJ will force Aldo/Faber/Brown/etc to move up to fight him, he is the bigger star and in his own head he IS MMA so I highly doubt he's gonna cut an extra 10lbs to fight at 145lbs.

I think Dana's plan is to keep BJ where he is, and then allow him to move back to 170 if and when GSP leaves the division. GSP is a stylistic nightmare for Penn and a 3rd fight would go exactly like the 2nd one and everyone knows this so there is no point in moving BJ up until GSP leaves.....or loses.

It's hard to pick against BJ. He is the best striker at LW and the Best Grappler. Nobody can take him down, hell even GSP couldn't in the 1st round. And nobody can stop BJ from taking them down when he wants.

I don't think GSP's plan was to really bring him down in the first.. I think he really wanted to pinned him against the fence and make him work with his shoulder to nullify his boxing for the next couple of rounds..

Wana bet that Penn's ground game pisses all over it?

BJ Penn has the best BJJ credientials out of any high level MMA fighter. Also Aldos only loss is via submisson.

BJ is not much slower than Aldo. And has better hands.

**** sake. If this goes down BJ will rip Aldo a new *******. :patsch

Yeah, just look how badly Kenny got owned on the ground and how quickly. BJ with top position is one of the most dangerous combinations in all of MMA.

Aldo looks great at 145, but he is obviously a much smaller man and with the combination of BJs allround ability, chin and his good gas tank at 155. I cannot see anybody getting near him.

I haven't seen anything in any of Frankie Edgar's fights which leads me to believe he can beat B.J Penn.

So he'll either have to put on a performance far better than anything seen from him so far, or Penn will have to be really off his game. I just can't see it happening.

Hahaha Ive seen Aldo, Hes good I think he can put a beating on Diego, Kenflo..Heck he can even beat prime Hughes.

And factor in the fact that BJ has not really improved and seem to be past his prime.

Id like to see Aldo/GSP... forget BJ/GSP 3

BJ has improved the only thing he was missing and that's his cardio and conditioning. His strength and conditioning that he has been doing has been paying dividends that's why going 4 rounds with kenny and diego was nothing and he didn't slow down at all. He's not that old yet I think BJ has a few good years at a high level yet especially if he keeps his motivation up.
