Does anyone give Povetkin a shot against Wlad?

Do you think he's being rushed? Especially since he could take on a lesser beltholder? Or is he ready? Because a KO loss could potentially be bad for his career, depending on how mentally tough he is.

Povetkin is too inexperienced for Dr. Steelhammer, the best heavyweight in the world today. I say Wladimir knocks him out in the later part of the fight. Povetkin might do good but he need a couple more fights before taking this fight

First things first, This is the best fight that can happen at heavyweight in the near future., Haye is of course not ready for the best of the best in the heavies. Povetkin/Wlad is the best matchup possible.

But no Povetkin is not ready

and yes he will have a respectable showing, but will still go to sleep.

As a top fighter, you must face the best and learn from your mistakes, Povetkin will do so against Wladimir, but will get beat in the process.

I think Wlad is actually on the decline, his last two fights have shown me he's starting to fear being punched even more than before, so Povetkin might be catching Wlad at the right time. I think he will need to be extremely aggresive and by all means keep that chin tucked in when he's throwing pucnhes, one well placed punch from Wlad could land him on ***** street at anytime.

I see the fight going one of two ways, Povetkin catching him early, while being aggresive and eager to go punch for punch, but the most likely outcome is Wlad beating him down for 6 or so rounds, and finishing him off by the 7th or 8th round, this will however be Wlad's toughest match since Peter in 05.

I dont see Povetkin making it past round 8 if Wlad comes out aggresive, but since Steward has Wlad training with a more cautious defensive fight plan in recent years I think we may have a one sided decision. Povetkin's only chance at 6'2" is to catch Klitschko with something big early to shake him, however Peter failed to keep Wlad down so I dont see how Povetkin can. It shouldnt be quite as boring as Wlad's last 2 fights but still not too exciting.

    W. Klitschko W A. Povetkin UD 12.

.... and yes I think he is being rushed. Another few fights against top 10 guys, then go after the smaller belt holders. If he wins those fights then throw him at Wlad after 22 or 23 fights or so when Wlad is also a few years older.

Povetkin is a new star, and he will do great in the future, he almost got beat by Chambers so I dont think he can stand in there with Wlad right now, maybe in a few years when he steps his game up and Wlad stars getting older. But no right now, defenetly not. Say what you want... Wlad is a monster men.

Povetkin's win over a good fighter like Chambers was impressive. Chambers would beat Haye. If Wlad is looking past Povetkin and thinking of the winner of the Ruiz/Valuev fight too much, Wlad might be in trouble. But, Wlad and Steward are becoming a great team, and I think they will win.
