He's behind Ali, Louis, and Marciano in my book. He's just a tad bit behind Holmes, so I have him at exactly #5.
I have him at #9 I do feel he's the most overrated heavyweight in a historical sense, H2H I have him outside of the top5 aswell.
Lewis was a great fighter who could beat anyone on his day but I'm not sure he's top 5. I don't think size is an issue as he struggled to beat an old Holyfield in the rematch who was essentially a Cruiser who bulked up. The logic is if Holy can bulk up then so can those who went before. I think a guy who can take a shot, has power and fights at a fast pace will trouble Lennox. I can't put him top 5 H2H, but I can accept that some might.
It is attitudes like those exemplified by this thread that illustrate that Lewis is one of the most overrated fighters by boxing fans today. With his questionable chin, Lewis could be beaten on any given night by a lot of fighters. Top 5?? Hell, Top ten is debatable!
