I like both fighters. They are good fighters. Haye is skilled and exciting and has gotten some fun to watch KOs. I also really, really like him for KOing and retiring John Ruiz, who I really hated as a boxer. Wlad is also a top level skilled boxer and despite his cautious style, has produced some good KOs and he is good to watch for those who appreciate good boxing technique, even if you are not watching firework fights like the Thrilla in Manilla. I don´t see why you have to dislike either of two fighters if they dislike and trash talk each other. It just builds up the fight. I think their fight is going to be good. I´m rooting for Wlad but it doesn´t mean I have to dislike Haye.
Yes. Fan of both. No real preference who wins, just hoping for a fight that lives up to the last 2 years of hype.
Also, don't expect too many sensible posts in here. Everyone is too busy posting about the real boxing issues, you know, like how all Brits are glass jawed disgraces, how they'd like to see a professional boxer hospitalised after this fight and whether Wlad broke up with his gf or vice versa
When I was a casual fan, I was solely a haye fan, over the last few years I've became a proper fan of the sport and I've grew to like and appreciate wlad and respect what he has done. Like shaunster I'm just hoping for a fitting climax to all this hype
I was initially a fan of haye but over the past few months i've stopped being fans of boxers and became more a fan of boxing. So i'm a fan of neither. That being said it is hard not to have the utmost respect for a man who, despite spending two years as a joke in his brother's shadow, would become the most dominant heavyweight since lennox lewis. Likewise it's hard not to respect a man who has talked his way into the biggest heavyweight fight in a decade after only 5 fights at the weightclass and only 26 fights overall. Everyone should atleast respect these two as warriors. I like neither enough to be a fan but I certainly do like both.
Yeah i like both. Haye i've liked less in the last 2 years but now his fighting the fight we wanted to see, i can't fault him. I like Wlad he's a classy guy who carries himself well, i just don't care too much for the way he fights, and it still bothers me how petrified he is of getting hit. I don't like seeing that from a h/weight champ. His brother on the other hand i like to see fight, he always brings it, but i don't care much for him as a person, the man has no class and for me is a ****. Make no mistake though as an Englishman i want Haye to win, i just don't think it's very likely. But he has a better chance than anyone. I'm not saying he aint good enough, maybe just to small and light.
I like both but only when Haye isnt talking **** about the Klitschkos and admittedly i do like him much less as a HW. I also favour Wlad heavily over him
I'm a fan of both. I prefer Wlad who is probably my favorite fighter today but I like Haye as well. I'm pulling for Wlad but I'm fine with Haye pulling the upset as well. I actually hope Haye keeps fighting after the Wlad fight win or lose and doesn't retire like he has been saying. He's a good and exciting heavyweight and the division need more of those.
Fan of both. Wlad for his ability. Haye because I've followed him from early & he has an interesting style.
Yeah i like both, i never really blamed Vlad for boring fights, i blamed his seriously under prepared and underskilled opponants. He is part of a very small number of true proffesionals in the heavyweight division. Haye likes to swing big to knock you out and hes British, not sure about some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth but hes far from a boring fighter (not including 2 rounds of the Harrison fight)
