Does anyone know any private film collectors?

I´ve tried to find the "alternative angle" of Carlos Monzon vs. Tom Bogs. Its existence had been mentioned in a discussion on Tom Bogs.
It has got to be private footage as neither the Danes or Argentinians had an alternative camera on the fight.
I don´t wait for it magically to appear in front of me some day (klompton2) - but I have to say - as long as someone refers to it in a discussion as an evidence of his statement - then he must share the footage -

 

Your nerd ass can take your collection to the grave with you at the end of the day and in the grand scheme of things nobody really cares about some fight collection some old ass nerd has in his basement, i bet that not even your family gives a **** about it, but anyway you're free to do whatever you want with it, take care have fun with your collection :good

Go to a torrent site, its where he gets most of his fights too. If hes not spending money on it why would you follow his advice of buying them from some nerd he knows?

You act like you own fine art, you have a film collection as "impressive" as a hundred other fight collectors that make it a hobby to collect film.

Only difference is you're a dingleberry in that very niche market and you're one of the only people that finds it necessary to constantly air your grievances through public channels and cry like a child.

This is one of reasons why boxing is so far behind in showcasing the classics compared to other sports. Football, Basketball, and other sports have dedicated channels for the sole purpose of broadcasting old/classic matches. Yet we find in Boxing a collector or a fucken promoter is holding on the rights of the film that will never see the light of day.

 

What a crock of ****. There arent 1/10th the classic football, basketball, or baseball games that there are boxing. Of those that even exist there isnt a drop in the bucket compared to how many classic boxing matches are readily available to the public. How many classic baseball games have you seen which predate color television? You can count them all on your hands. You know who owns the rights to that stuff? Major League Baseball. You know who is the most protective of their sports footage? Major League Baseball. So dont even go there because boxing fans have far more access to every era of boxing since the advent of film than all other sports combined and yet some boxing fans still cry foul and have this sense of entitlement. So just keep in mind that when people are complaining that ESPN Classic only shows Ali and Tyson fights and then wax poetic about how they wish boxing films were more open "like baseball" if they really got what they wished for they really would only be watching Ali and Tyson and maybe not even that.

 

I hope you are not insinuating that I was one of the people who brought you up in a derogatory manner. I simply said you collect and do not sell. And as far as I know, you don't, correct? I, however, think that it is ridiculous not to sell, with the exception of the ones you've given your word on. I guarantee many people here would pay a fair price for those films, even the less rare ones.
