Does anyone know of a good boxing book or dvd to help you train & learn?

Govan, any tips on quickly reducing the love handles I've acquired over the last 12 months. I know sit ups are going to flatten my stomach and as I lose weight they will go naturally but the bumps I have on either side of my waist are really depressing me at the moment!

Sadly paddy there is a saying that goes " six packs are made in the kitchen not in the gym " and its fairly true

Guys store fat round the middle so I guess you're proably taking in a few more calories than you need ( hard to say without seeing your diet ! ). If you drink a lot of beer then that's probaly a big part of it.

Tips wise try and reduce the calories a little ( or eat better calories ) and get the cardio going to burn the fat.

Exercises wise , you want something thats twisting your middle , so sit ups with the opposite elbow to opposite knee or if you have a chin up bar try hanging from it and slowly pulling your legs up then turning them side to side.

depending on your age though these things are really only going to work if you either drop the cals or burm them off better.

If your training time is short get in the pool thats your best chance of burning calories and toning up at the same time.

    Hope that helps !

    Ta bud!

Beer is definately part of my diet and I dont plan on changing that until I get back in the gym, but pretty much guessed that your answer would involve a decent diet. I'll work on that. My diet isnt too bad at the moment given that I'm making a conscious effort to eat well but I'm still gonna hit my Friday nights in the town.

Thanks for the tips on elbow to elbow and the chin bar. I'll try those too! Pool work is a no at the moment though as I dont have one near work and the rest are closed by the time I get home.

    Thanks again man
