Does anyone know what Beterbiev is mumbling to himself before his matches?

    He is a big solid light heavy but he actually moved to 200 pounds in the AM's because mekhontsev wanted to move back down to light heavyweight

    Yeah and it was easier for Beterbiev to make weight at heavyweight. Mekhontsev did amazingly well competing at heavyweight as he only weighed 83-84kg compared to his opponents. Beterbiev's walking around weight was 85kg plus, the national team placed them in their divisions by dimensions rather than weight.

    There was a Russian guy who used to post, at the time they switched weight divisions he translated an article about the switch. I was a big fan of Eastern European amateur boxing (and both boxers) at the time so the details stuck with me.
