Does anyone recognize the opponent? I thought it might be Pierre Langlois, but that fight was in Syracuse's War Memorial and this looks like MSG. I thought it might also be Italo Scortichini, or maybe Gaspar Ortega(although I don't really think it looks like him). All I know is Basilio wins a decision in the end.
Definitely not Ortega,I think its Scortichini,the appearance fits, [check his pic on box rec ], and they fought in the Garden.
I'm thinking if they had the footage to upload and were interested enough to do it, they'd probably know but who knows?
That, or maybe there's some kind of copyright issues, and they don't want anyone to know the fight is on YT outside of their circle of subscribers.

It is Carmine Fiore at MSG. Used to see Scortichini spar with Cerdan in the Bronx. Though dark, squat 'n muscular, Italo didn't look anything like Fiore, Ortega was shredded but lean, with a spiky crew cut.
It was almost cerainly Carmen Fiore, losing a 10 round dec. to Basillio MSG,in 1954...I know that the Doctor examining Fiore was Dr.Vincent Nardiello,who presided at MSG in that time frame ...Notice how well a second tier Fiore looked with his jab,etc...That to me shows what a deeper pool,welters had than todays crop of boxers......
