Does anyone NOT believe that Chavez was a better fighter than DLH ?

    Just what it says on the tin, dont bore me with DLHs 2 wins vs JCC when JCC was a complete turtle of himself... just type who you think was the better prime fighter, had the better career or would have won at their best......

    Knowing general, this should be a good laugh... take it away comics....

    jcc had the most inflated record of any fighter in the past 20yrs. DLH would own him any day. jcc was extremely one dimensional.

    I don't think chavez woud have beat oscar, even in his prime, well certainly not if the fight was at 140, chavez was probably at is best at 135 and he may beat oscar there but i don't think it would be easy at all and may still pick de la hoya. Oscar stylistically would have always provided problems for chavez and he was naturally a lot bigger

    However having said i rate chavez much higher all time great and do think he was a better prime fighter, just not sure he would have taken oscar even at his best

    He had more than 100 fights you cant expect him to fight Hall of famers in half of those fights.

    Considering Oscar was quite a bit bigger than JCC, good post.... tho I think the 135 JCC beats the 135 DLH clear (not shut out material tho, about 7-5/8-4 max) on pts & the 140 JCC does likewise at best or loses close on pts at worst, very close (all fights are best versions of each weight for each guy obviously)

    No question as to the p4p arguement IMHO :good
    Julio cesar Chavez jr`s daddy gets the nod.

    Because its my thread jerk off... & while Im on a scary rampage I may aswell warn you to make your polls public in future because that **** (in the words of Peter Griffin) really grinds my gears.

    Nah, on a serious note, dont be upset because its a thread that involves Oscar likely losing... these sort of threads help the casual/amatuer boxing fan to realise some truths rather than get caught up in the glamour/modern day promo bull****.

    He is over ratted a lot of other places so every thing works out.
    He is one of the best ever at 130, very good at 135. Completely over ratted at 140. Was too old at 147 so it is not realy fair to judge him at that weight.
