I watched them too the other day and truthfully, it made me depressed when I thought back to the current scene.
2nd round KO against another bum, just like the majority of the fighters he's faced. Let him face someone who actually knows how to box and watch him get exposed. The guy's quicker than Ponce, which is why he's a bit better, but he will be exposed soon, which should give you guys something in common.
I rate Khan higher now than Gamboa. At least Khan has the Physical dimension advantage over most of his opponents. I doubt Gamboa's even legit 5'6". He's exposed tonight, right Hook & left Hook will easily find Gamboa's chin.
People hate to agree with me because i'm outside the box and don't go along with the majority and i'm not a casual fan ... I know the sport from every aspect. I don't really care if anyone agrees with me or not ... but when they do ... it means something ... that i've made a point and without caring about who else agreed with me. Thats the difference between me and you sweetpea ... you care ... I don't ... you would say would people want to hear just to get respect while I don't need respect I say what I feel is correct.
I say what is the general consensus among top posters and boxing experts because those are the conclusions that I, along with the other more reasonable posters, come to naturally, as they seem most reasonable and obvious. Thinking outside the box is not a bad thing, but being an ignorant fool when it comes to the skills of any fighters outside of his favorites is. You're a joke, not an innovator. Great posters who think outside the box are guys like Mantequilla, Raging B(_)LL, etc from the Classic Forum, who, even while having certain unorthodox opinions(as I do at times) clearly show their knowledge from every side of the fence. You on the other hand....
Watch SRL-Duran, SRL-Hearns, SRL-Hagler and then watch Pac vs Ledwaba, MAB, EM & JMM. Analyze all these ATG Fighters and let me know how close Pac is in greatness with with these Modern Greats.
Don't work your way around anything, just come out and answer this. Is Manny Pacquiao a better all around fighter (in terms of skill-set) than Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, and Marvin Hagler?
I've seen all of those fights(and many more), and he's still lagging quite a ways behind, both in ATG status and especially in terms of overall skills.
Are you really going to waste your last few hours on this? You know his answer. I know his answer. Lets talk about something else. (I admit to not having any ideas on what, but that's not the point)
Here you go with trying to be down ... trying to fit in ... I hope you get on their level someday !! There's no right or wrong to an opinion ... its an opinion ... no one can dispute that, but you manage to do that ... you manage to judge and criticize off of someone opinion and call it dumb or stupid ... when was the last time you said some referring to boxing?
Pac might be a great fight and very accomplished ... but one thing I would never forget about Pac is that he was unable to box ...
