Does Anyone Pick Joe Louis to beat Ali

You have to wonder about Norton getting to Ali with his footwork and jab, of which he did both much, much worse then Louis.

 

Not even remotely true, Ali barely etched both his big rematches one was over a so-so fighter turned forum ATG named Ken and he pulled a Wladmir on Frazier, he should've been DQ'd. Louis left zero doubt in his rematches.

 

I pick Joe Louis to win over Muhammad Ali most times in a long series of prime vs. prime fights, but definitely not every time.

 

Cassius Clay Vs Archie Moore is an interesting fight to watch when I watched I wondered how much familiarity was there between the two. Clay knocks out Moore and it seemed like because they knew each so well and had spent a lot of time training together.

 

Not I

 

In a 10 fight series, I think Ali wins the majority, but Louis I think would win maybe 3 of those.

 

Ali only spent a couple of days in his camp but Moore was in Big George's corner for the Rumble so he saw the true measure of the man.

 

The same flaws are still there. Being younger, In Ali’s case probably a little faster and less intelligent won’t make a difference.

 

Joe Louis would walk through Clay..

Louis was a proper fighting man, and it is a disgrace how he was treated for serving his country, unlike Clay who refused yet used his influence to convince fools to believe he was the greatest.
Ali/Clay is not even in my top ten, lesser fighters have more dignity and pride in this era than this man could ever have.

 

Please name ten boxers who would be favored to beat Muhammad Ali? Thank you in advance.

 

He could but 65-67 version of Ali would b a handful. I used to favor Ali more but Louis still has that timing to combat Alis speed. Ali has great recuperation if he did get hurt to combat Louis excellent finishing skills as well. Would b a fun series.

 

Opinions are just that but some opinions carry more weight than others. If I was to invest in a fighter I would give more weight to the opinion of Freddie Roach than I would to the opinion of the late Freddie Mercury. If I was investing in a band I I would give more weight to the latter. In that vein I will link a panel of boxing experts on who are the greatest heavyweights later.

 

His strategy wasn’t easy on the eye (ala Klit Bros) but it was effective.
