It's not hard to understand. The hands continue to sweat throughout the match, creating more moisture inside the wrap than would be on the outside of the wrap. Your theory that a hard wrap would have to damage his hands fails to take into account the sweat from the hands that would keep the inside of the wrap soft.

Your theory fails because you act like wraps are 10” thick and the outer layer is waterproof.

Dude, you know that is exactly what hair follicle tests do right? They trace for weeks, not 1 or 2 days. And Canelo did them twice.

So you think Canelo always benefitted with catch weights? Name ONE time please! 152 at Superwelter vs Mayweather was in favor of Money, fighting at 155lbs on a Middleweight vs small Amir Khan, who benefits? 155lbs on a Middleweight fight vs ‘smaller’ Cotto? Fighting a middleweight fight at 164lbs vs Chávez Jr when Canelo had never fought anything bigger than 155lbs catch weight and Chávez Jr was a 168lbs boxer. Dude, you just can’t name one time the catch weight was on his favor.

you Canelo fans are hilarious. He moves up and has strict hydration clauses, but didn’t seem to like hydration clauses when he roughed up tiny Khan. He’s a good fighter but is a diva with crazy demands. Most fighters would do the same thing in his shoes and I’m not a hater. I hope he sticks at one weight class and unifies versus moving up and down to fight the weakest opponents. He can fight anyone he wants but always seems to fight the weakest guys. I’m looking forward to the BJS fight but it’s probably four or five years too late. BJS hasn’t looked good in a while. Perfect Canelo opponent. And there is no catch weight or nonsense.

Canelo doesn’t make concessions in any area (location, judges, hand wraps, etc) because he doesn’t have to. He brings so munch money to fights because of his fan base. He can literally get any opponent he wishes. I hope he chooses the best guys at whatever division he’s in because I’m a boxing fan and want to see good fights.

What are you talking about?! The Khan fight was in MIDDLEWEIGHT, him being the A side could have made the fight at the normal 160lbs, yet they fought at 155lbs. Tell us please, who do you think benefits from that?! If Canelo wanted an advantage, he could easily made the fight without a catch weight. And you say why didn’t he want a rehydration clause on that fight? Really?!

Then you say he always fights the easiest guys, yet he’s fighting ALL the champions (you know, they are the guys with the belts) and is about to unify all the Supermiddleweight Division in a 9 month lapse. Can’t say the same about Charlo or Andrade, guys older than Canelo who have never fight a guy with a belt in their whole careers, yet some casuals here think they are better than Smith, BJS and Plant! Hahahahaha wow...

I think you are missing the point with the Khan fight. He brought up a chinny WW to above the LMW limit. Joke of a fight and the 155 was there to serve a purpose, as there was someone there he didn’t fancy fighting (at the time)

The Khan fight was great if you like seeing the incredible Ginger Hulk fighting a jockey. You Canelo ginger ball snugglers are hilarious. That fight should never have been allowed. The size difference was massive and it was dangerous. Canelo moves north and makes sure his opponents never have a size advantage by having hydration clauses. He may have weighed in at 155 on scale day but he was a giant against tiny Khan.

As I stated, I’m not officially a Canelo hater but his fans crack me up. Excuses for the diva tactics, are he judges in his pocket, and the tainted Mexican beef, are hilarious. You probably believe his story about the tainted clen Mexican beef. I don’t need to hear about it, I’m pretty sure I know the answer. Thanks for the chuckle.

There's been worse fights. Even Golovkin has had much worse fights.

It was a fun entertaining fight. Khan did as good as he could considering his low ring IQ, but ultimately got out skilled and out slugged with the end result being Khan getting Khanned.

I don't understand how Canelo fans crack you up.. can you elaborate or are you just letting out some steam?

So, what you're saying is that fighters should not fight opponents with glass chins? Or are you saying a fighter fighting another fighter from a lower division is immoral? Because if that's what you're saying you're pretty much criticizing a large percentage of top fighters.

    ODLH fought Mosley and Gatti
    Whitaker fought DLH and Chavez
    Hopkins fought DLH
Golovkin fought Canelo, Vanes, Milton, Rosado
    Leonard fought Duran, and Benitez...

I mean, why don't you just say Canelo makes your bum hurt every time he fights. lol

Would why I say that? I think he’s the best fighter on the planet and love watching him fight. The difference is I can actually look objectively at things. Canelo has used weights to his advantage. Isn’t the first star to do this and won’t be the last. But laughable if you can’t acknowledge that.

Weight advantages against how many fighters?

Only one I can think of is Jacobs, and that was a rehydration clause, exactly the same as the IBF uses, the IBF a title that Jacobs held, and Jacobs didn't even adhere to the clause.

I'd like to know what fights Canelo used weight for unfair advantages.

    You're kidding right?

There's a long laundry list of opponents that he catchweighted or rehydration claused. Jacobs is one. Fielding, Kovalev are others. Chavez Jr was half starved. He tried his hardest to make GGG come to 155. And then let's not forget how he managed to boil down to 154 to face smaller guys for years. There's a reason Canelo was bust for clenbuterol, it's used for weight loss. Floyd Mayweather taught him well :(
