Does anyone really give Kenny a chance against BJ Penn?

If so, why? I sure as hell don't think Florian will make it past three.

I give him a reasonable chance. Maybe 50/50. Here are some reasons why I think so.

Kenny is always fully prepared both mentally and physically. BJ has shown he is often times unprepared.

Kenny may not be at BJs level in BJJ but he has excellent BJJ for MMA.

Kenny has very good muay thai. Although he's not likely to ktfo BJ, he could hurt him, slow him down and win rounds through agressive striking. Maybe even bang him up, tire him out and RNC him.

Kenny is a smart fighter and will not make the same mistake that Sherk made last time and fight to BJs strengths.

Kenny is hungry and motivated. Who knows which BJ will show up.

Kenny is the underdog and that position suits him. He likes to prove the naysayers wrong.

I actually think Kenny's going to win. His razor elbows are going to split BJs head like a coconut

I'd like to see that outcome but BJ doesn't get cut very easily. If anyone can do it, Kenny can.

BJ's a special fighter but i believe Kenny's destined for that level too. This is a seriously hard fight to call - just the way it should be :thumbsup

The only way i can see florian winning this fight is if it goes 5 rounds and bj ran out of gas later in the fight. I give penn the advantage on their stand up and defenitely on the ground. Florian is a good BJJ but penn is just better.

    :rofl

    BJ by Sanders/Klitschko like domination.

BJ does everything better than Kenny, is a better athlete, has better fighting instincts, is more expereinced, has fought way better opposition. KF doesn't really have a single thing on him.

Predicting BJ will turn up in bad shape is a hail mary pick.

The only advantage that I see Florian having is that he does throw leg kicks. In all the other areas - Penn seems light years ahead of him. BJ has the sharper hands, the better ground game, etc.

Perhaps if Kenny comes in with a plan to work low leg kicks all night - he might be able to extend Penn. Otherwise - I;m seeing replays of Florian/Sanchez in my head.

I give Florian a good chance, probably arounds 40%. Who knows what state Penn is in after his fight against GSP, it's hard not to lose confidence when you get a beat down like that and as previous posters have mentioned, Penn's work ethic is questionable.

i can only see this fight going one way and thats to bj penn thats only if he trains properley though, his cardio is questionable but i cant see that being a problem against kenflo dnt get me wrong florian has got great ability but his bjj is nowhere near the level of bj,s and as for for the stand up bj is always gona win it, i dont think the gsp fight will have affected bj that much besides he has bounced back before from defeat i.e matt hughes plus he,s in his natural weight division so i reckon it,ll be a great fight but bj will come out on top

That's how I see it. I don't think KenFlo has anything for BJ, but then again I don't think anyone in the LW division does. BJ is going to turn up in shape as he has to cut to get to 155, so that's a non issue.

Hopefully Kenny will keep it competitive, but I doubt he sees the 4th round if that.
