He didn't look to be in the same shape he was against Khan. Did anyone else think he wasn't in the best of shape. Not an excuse for the guy he's fun to watch and is limited but he just didn't look like he was in shape. Also every time he throws a right hand he bring his foot with him.
yeah he is shot and not more than a journeyman ... otherwise he was just over-hyped bum ... no other options are possible in boxing
Yeah it seems as thoough Maidiana is bit past it. He has already seen the better days of his career Maidana use to be extremely good and an elite fighter
Well after the Maidana - Alexander fight, Maidana said that 147 isn't his weight class... he will go back down to 140. Hopefully he bounces back strong.
i'd like to see him with a world class trainer and conditioner. He got all the tools but seems to have lost his way. He was shocking in Morales and Alexander fights
I wouldn't say he's past prime, more that he's just not as good as some people thought he was.I've always felt he was a tad overrated, but he's a top name at 140 and still has a good career ahead of him. Not everyone will be a P4P'r.I think Matthyse is underrated and very unlucky but my expectations for him are realistic. Those two really need to make it happen.South American machismo means it should be a belter.
**** no, that phrase is way overused here. He just wasn't ever that good to begin with and even his punching power was overrated.
