.........I remember reading he had to go to the hospital afterward to receive intravenous fluids to rehydrate, but I dont remember a number given to any weight loss.

Supposedly he lost that much water weight over the course of the fight.

I've also heard he nearly died from that.

Yep. If he hadn't gotten emergency treatment, doctors said he could've been on kidney dialysis for the rest of his life.

Yeah, I think 10lbs is a conservative estimate. That was a tremendously gruelling fight.

I haven't watched that fight in years. I remember he supposedly lost upwards of fifteen pounds in that match and if I remember correctly, he weighed-in at around 186. By fight time, it may be safe to speculae he dropped from approximately 190 to around 175 or so.

    Unreal.

Post-fight, I read an account whereby they hooked him up intravenously (sp?) because they feared that his kidneys may shut down and that 24 hours after the bout he weighed 201 because of the fluids and sodium they loaded him up with.

I heard 15lbs too. That's a crazy amount to lose in a single fight.

Qawi these days, unfortunately, has a very dim view about the fight given the 'Evan Fields' stuff.

    Lol!

I wonder if those that Qawi robbed at gunpoint were cheering for Dwight in that fight on ABC or if they have a very dim view of him today.

    :yep
