Does anyone see FMJ being "in the zone" vs Pacquiao?

Doesn´t the term "in the zone" refer to a state ? , where the athlete while being physical highly active has a calm state of mind and his brain waves are like if the athlete is in deep relaxation. This allows him to take everything in , which boost his ability to anticipate as well shortens the time to react.
As far as I know you have to train a lot to even make that happen, but to get "in the zone" willingly is considered to be very difficult if not impossible.

So who knows if he would be lucky enough to reach that state on that particular fight.

Yes I see it. Pac is just the type of guy that PBF can get in the Zone with. He comes in wild off balanced with short arms and is a counter-puncher's wet dream. He will box the **** outta Pac and make him look amateurish.

The problem is, I'm not sure Pac will submit to Mayweather. I think Mayweather may have to fight to win by knockout because Pac is the type of fighter that won't participate in a silent agreement.

 

He doesn't have to it will be beaten out of him. I can see Pac doing the same **** for as long as it last. Coming in off balanced trying to land combos and getting the crap beaten out of him for his work. He can't beat PBF it's a horrible style match up for him and he's not a technically sound fighter.:deal No jab, no cutting the ring, can't fight backing up, doesn't go to the body, is there to be hit, can't fight on the inside he doesn't bring educated pressure he's not a thinking man's fighter just reacts with athleticism and aggression that won't work against PBF and you know it. He's playing checkers at a chess match.:deal He's badly outgunned here and I've been saying this every since this fight was talked about he gets schooled.

There is a chance, though, that Floyd may want to come out aggressive from the get go and take the fight to Manny. Marquez tried that the first time he fought Pacquiaol. He looked good until he ate a straight left.

 

The jab wouldn't be a big benefit for him anyway, due to the difference in height/reach between him and Floyd. He does use it as a great set-up for his power shots, though. The straight left is more important in this case. As for backing up, he was being pushed back by Hatton and knocked him down with his right-hook counter. He also seemed to briefly shake Marg with the exact same shot. Obviously Floyd is far, far better than Hatton and Marg ever were, but the point is that Pac isn't as one-dimensional as people like to claim -- those right hook counters show good timing and can be surprisingly effective. (Also remember that Floyd was unofficially knocked down, in a technical/flash sense, by Judah's right-hook counter.)

Oh, and yes, Pac does go to the body. The Clottey match alone had a large amount, and he was even throwing body shot combinations. If Floyd tries the high guard, Pac WILL go to the body.

Some of the other points you raise are valid, especially Pac's issues with cutting off the ring and defence, but those aren't enough to guarantee Floyd's victory, especially as Floyd is getting older and not looking quite as sharp as he used to.

I've always favoured Floyd against Pac, but the point is that it's a risky match for him, and everyone knows it. (Including Floyd himself.)

 

Floyd doesn't get ahead of himself in the ring. He's always patient and focus and do things at his own pace.

 

He will forever in the zone when in comes to Pacquiao - twilight zone.

Pac doesn't let guys get "in the zone." I recall how good Margarito, Cotto, and Hatton were at being pressure fighters, they'd have guys hurt, or tired, and they'd get "in the zone." That didn't get so well for them, they looked like pitbulls...Trying to fight a lion.
I know Mayweather isn't a pressure fighter, but for anybody to stop Margarito's onslaught by punching him 5 times (unlike Mosley who held on, hit him to the body, and tired him out) is amazing.
If your doing well against Pac you better be prepared to fight a real lion. Your going to have to run for 12 rounds (like Mayweather better do), or bring a baseball bat. Mayweather has the skills to keep Pac off of him, and even though he seems to hit a little harder... He does not hit hard enough to keep pac off him.
