Does anyone still think Burns beats Broner after tonight?

He left himself open to so many counters tonight. Broner isn't the future ATG some people say his is but he'd be countered all night by Broner imo.

No, and anyone who did was moronic. Burns is a good basic boxer, Broner is a level above.

    Broner is still flawed though.

No, he never had it in him to beat Broner.

But it feels a little cheap to start being ultra-critical moments after THAT fight. That was a great fight to come through for Burns. We've seen him outbox guys, but tonight was a different effort, complete heart and willpower. Burns shows he really has everything except a great dig.

Broner would batter him, ricky really struggled with Gonzales,Broner would finish ricky when hurt imo, would pick his punches better, the uppercut on the inside would ruin him

I wish Burns all the best and I would absolutely love him to beat Broner but I think some counter balance is needed when half this forum were up his arse saying he'd beat Broner. It works both ways.

    Broner/Burns = Ward/Froch.

I agree with the comparison in the sense that both would win but Broner will never be half as good as Ward though. Ward is just something else. Just my opinion.

This fight really doesn't need to happen.

I make the comparison in the way they would both come forward wildly but missing and getting clipped and schooled.

Burns/Broner won't happen anyway, but there were other factors at work tonight, I said to my mate "I have a bad feeling about this fight" just something didnt sit right with me in Burns demeanor

but at the end of the day, he came through, as usual, and after peaking TWICE between camps yet never having a fight never does any fighter any good, yet he broke the heart of a dark horse in Gonzalez (Gonzalez being a very good looking fighter despite his record according to the research I did on him beforehand didn't help my feelings)

This wasn't Burns at his best tonight, by a long shot

I think it's far too easy to take this one fight as a barometer of Ricky's fighting style. He's never once been labeled "come-forward" in his life. I think they thought they were up against a crude banger and tried to force it when there was no need

True but i still think broner will get him frustrated and he will get picked off coming in.
