I don't take him seriously as a contender at all when it comes to the Klitschko's. He had his time and failed miserably. Just wondering why he, or what he says is still relevant enough to even warrant a discussion on these boards. Trying to figure out what people are still holding on too with him.

Wlad fight the best :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl look at his last 4 fights

Wlad offers and half decent fighter slave contracts so when they refuse he can fight another bum Tyson fury was fighting in half full stadiums in belfast on a free to air channel, And mocked the contract Wlad offered him saying he was earning more doing his own thing and he will fore a mandatory spot

    Try again

He was better off staying in the Cruiser weight and becoming one of the greatest ever in that division. Granted the CW is probably the most diluted/weakest talent pool in all of the divisions, but he could've attempted to be a long standing champ ala Hopkins at MW and attempt something like 10+ title defenses in the division. He could've given Evander a run for his money as an ATG at the division, although I think Holyfield is the best ever at Cruiser.

It's just bad timing for him, the Klitschkos are HUGE Heavyweights and the size/weight disadvantage is too much for him. He can beat most of the alphabet champs at HW, but not the true champs in Vitali or Wlad.

If you think Wlad's resume is bad, what does that make Hayes. I'm asking from a pure boxing standpoint. When it's all said and done, how do you think Haye will be remembered and ranked in the HW division compared to the Klits? What has Haye done in the ring to get your love and respect? Aside from talking, what has Haye ever done?

He'll be remember for the division he spent most of his career in.
    Cruiserweight.

    Hes fought...what? 5 fights there?

Thats like saying De La Hoya wont be remembered because he didnt do much at MW.

Haye got my respect, now that he gives a **** about my or your "respect", when he became unified Cruiser champ.

He earned my respect going to Paris and KO'ing Mormeck in front of his own fans

When David Haye was in the jungle he seemed a decent guy. When he talks about boxing he seems cocky and big headed. You cant knock him for his boxing skills. If he went down a weight down hes unbeatable (Had the chance to when he came out the jungle) and hes only been beaten at heavyweight with a broken toe.

Being remembered for the CW division isn't much to be bragging about. And, if he didn't constantly talk about being the savior of the HW division in which he has fought nobody in and lost the title fight he talked himself into badly then maybe I wouldn't be so hard on him. Truth is, the man has been saying the same **** for years, but came up short in the end.

Being remembered as being joint best in this HW era isnt much to brag about either.

As for "coming up short", if Haye so wishes,he could have 5 more years.

He talked ****, to get the fight and get people interested.

    And he succeeded MASSIVELY!

You are aware he didn't start out as a HW aren't you? He fought and beat the man at cruiser then unified another title, after stepping up to HW he had one fight then challenged for a title.

Oh, you obviously didn't know that. See this is what gets on my nerves, armchair pussies slating professional boxers (in this case a champion with a long amateur career) without actually knowing anything about the sport, it's history or the career of the guy they are actually talking about.

Back to WWE you complete and utter Dickhead.

Welcome to the forum. Good observation.

Different tone and message for different audiances.

David's view is that he has a boxing fanbase and a broader entertainment fan base. He's said in so many words that he wants to expand both bases to the point that they merge. That's why he said that he is going to rachet things down a bit in general (and settle into more thoughtful tone and message), though he was in pretty raw form on Saturday as an analyst for Pianeta/Wlad.
