Does anyone think here that some competers in strong man could be top fighters

    I guess it's possible, just not very likely at all. You'd need a very young competitor to do well early on, then give it up and focus on boxing so he'd still have the majority of his strongman strength (just not his peak strength) and then for that the same person picked up boxing quickly. All that adds up to is a regional fighter (as one poster said, Butterbean level) with possible journeyman potential if it's the right guy.

    To see a world class fighter come from a strongman background? I wouldn't hold out hope for it. However, some heavyweights could do some crosstraining in that area and see some benefits from it.

    If you were to go back in time and train them since they were 10-12 years old the way that most top boxers were then yes. It's just nearly impossible to reach the top of the sport if you are getting your start so late in our life.

    i don't think so, most of them have high body fat if you look at those power lifters plus its obvious by looking at them that they'd be slow and would have poor stamina
